it's because I'm now working full time and started my Fall classes in the evenings. Got my certificate in Alcohol and Drug Studies last year, so now it's time to push forward for my Associates in Behavioral Science. I'm still lurking and liking though! Just not as much free time, which is a good thing. I'll definitely be more active on the weekends. I love you guys!!!!

Loving the upswing, Penguiness. I was in a pretty dark place for awhile there but with the help of family, friends and my NT family, I've been able to keep on keepin' on one day at a time. Words will never be able to fully convey How I feel about Kent, Katy, the NT crew and family. I hope ya'll always know the high regard I hold every one of you in.

I am so happy that things are picking up for you! I always say that it is much better to be super busy! Personally I love it when I am working a lot and have a jam packed schedule... It makes me think that I am getting things accomplished!!

Good luck to you in your studies- that is an area that I have always been interested in. I would love to go back and get a degree in behavioral science. What is it that you want to do when you have your degree??

I'm the same way; a busy ASH is a happy ASH. I was studying to be a substance abuse counselor. I worked for a year in the field with teens in a 30 day detox, both boys and girls, but I became soured on the experience due to the organization I worked for. I think I'd like to continue in the field but in more of an administrative capacity in the future. So, I'm going to finish this up and then start taking business administration courses to round it out. That's my goal for now, anyway, it could change. :)

That is amazing! That problem must be widespread because counselors have a huge turn over rate at just about every organization. It is sad because when dealing with addiction the counselors are so important to the patient and their ultimate outcome. It seems that most organizations do not value their counselors the way they should. I think that it is fantastic that you want to get into the administrative side- maybe you can make a real difference!

It really is a shame, Amber. There was a different set of unspoken rules for each house and each counselor. The sad thing is the head of the organization was really big on her belief of the kids needing structure but didn't carry it through to the staff. Very frustrating and very disheartening. I loved those kids though, even the hardest to love were a lesson learned and a growing experience for me as a human being. Oh, some of the stories I could tell you...<3

I love you, Superman! While I still struggle at taking care of myself, I'm getting better at it. That's what video games are for; pure stress relief. *Big hugs*

Thanks, Nick! I'd never get too busy for my family. <3

Congrats ASH!
Thanks, Taki! Keep posting puppy pics!

May your journey lead you to nothing less than fulfillment and success. Please be sure to pop in from time to time during your ride!

Nothing but the best for you sweet lady.......
Kind sir, you couldn't get rid of me if you tried, you're stuck with me. *HUGS*
Follow your heart ASH. Great things will be in your future. Admin is a good place to be, HR not so much. :D I've been an administrator for 30+ years. I'll be here on the weekends with ya. It's hard during the week for me to catch up too.

Best of luck to you nice lady!!
Thank you, Ms. Cruzer! I had people believe in me when I couldn't believe in myself and they kept believing in me until one day I finally "got it". Now I'm following my dreams and if those dreams change, so will I to accommodate the new dreams. I am not the director of this play, I am merely a player but I will play my part to the best of my ability and shine like a star. I'm so blessed to share it all with all of you.
