If Vaping Ended Tomorrow - Would you go back to Analogs?

I'm just a few days before my fourth anniversary without and analog and as I sit here vaping, my mind begins to wonder. What if all vaping supplies just magically disappeared off the face of the planet tomorrow and there was no hope of replacement - not even making my own device. Would I be able to stay off analogs? As I think long and hard, I think I really could make it. Of course I would go through a bag of hard butterscotch candy every day (and have no teeth in a year), but I really do think I could make it as of today.

How about you?

I've been thinking of this too. Been vaping since Dec 1st of last year. I'm down to 4 & 0 nic now. It would be easier than before with just the nasty's but, it still would be hard for me I think. I often wonder about it. We live on a fixed income & no matter how hard I budget, something always happens that leaves us short of money. There's no way I could support my old analog habit anymore. Vaping has been way cheaper to do for me. It's not something I want to give up for sure. At this point I think I'd still struggle. I pray the vaping gods will never let this happen ♥

Coming up on 10 months.....I don't think I would go back, I don't look at cigarettes the same way I used too. Just a couple of days ago a friend of mine was digging around her purse, she handed me her burning cigarette 3 times to hold. I looked at it, I could smell it, if I had wanted to take a drag I easily could have, but I had no desire and never felt like I was missing out on anything.

It's a real question for me, with current issues in Australia. I have been wondering how I would handle it if vaping was banned. I would probably revert to using rollie cigarette filters with a drop of peppermint oil in a cigarette holder, just to satisfy the hand to mouth thing, and the need to inhale/exhale something. In the long-term, under real stress, I suspect I would go back to smoking.

I still smoke cigarettes every so often and am trying to go through the process of weening myself off of them. Doing pretty good so far. Went from a pack and a half to a couple a day. I know I would end up smoking again if your situation came to pass.

However, if Vapeing became much more difficult due to legislation or taxation. I would try to find ways around the whole process including making my own juice. Heck, I could get over nicotine and start using 0mg juice while cutting down my cigarettes if I had too. I am very much addicted to the action of smoking more so than the nicotine.

That's the key word for me you said there...STRESS !!!!!...I SO VERY MUCH love vaping & get great pleasure out of it. Enough for me to WANT to do it...But, the stress factor (and my life right now is full to the brim with it) is what makes me feel the NEED to do it...that's why it would be such a struggle for me I think

I think it would be a struggle of epic proportions, but no, I think I could stay off the analogs now if my back was agianst the wall, although it would be VERY difficult to do, having hit 3 months yesterday. Truth is, I just cannot afford them in NY. That more than anything would keep me off analogs. I never ever would have started vaping if it were not for the cost of tobacco at $10 a pack in NY. I needed another solution, and vaping has filled that void.

I think I probably would - which is why I call a ban on e-cigs mass murder. I know many would go back to cancer sticks without this option. I hope if I get more vape time in I could confidently answer NO. Over 6 months smoke free, and I did take a puff last month but could not inhale it. It tasted awful, so I hope this never happens.

I am not sure. I am only 8 weeks since my last analog. While that is the longest I have ever quit, and while I have begun to 'extremely dislike' the smell and taste of analogs (as I remember), I just don't think I've completely severed the link. It may take years. I do worry about the future of vaping simply from a selfish standpoint in that I value my life and worry that if vaping is denied to me that I would be back on the road to smoking and eventual debility or cancer. Even with a mother dying of cancer, that hasn't been enough to make me quit before I found vaping.

Absolutely probably not. I'm deep in that phase where I hate the smell of cigs and feel sorry for and ridiculously superior to those poor blokes clutching their burnt stogies. Plus, my recent nic drop from 18mg to 5mg was surprisingly easy, reminding me that the nic itself doesn't have much of a hold on me any longer. But oh how I'd miss those swirling wisps of tasty vape!

Could we still have a forum for all of us ex-vapers to reminisce about the good ol' days when we sat on the porch and vaped coffee on an XL man?
