hey guys, well I'm officially a reonut I guess, I really was not so thrilled with the square box look which is what has kept me away for so long, but after experiencing the awesome vapes of a sub ohm micro coil on a bottom feeding squonker I just can't resist any longer . I'm at the point now where I don't even care what it looks like any more atm, I want the vape and the reliability that it seems so far only the reo can really deliver right out of the box, I've played with other bottom feeders which have shown me the light as far as what I'm missing here so I just said screw it and bought a reo, hopefully I may have it by the end of the week.

I do intend on building my own bottom feeder eventually, something I may find more visually appealing to me and something a bit more left hand friendly and less boxy, but until then I just want what the reo is, who knows,. maybe after actually having my reo I may not even care anymore even about the looks, guess it's only fair to have one to really judge it in my hands, so reoville here I come, it's been a long hard journey of frustration with less than stellar performance, but thankfully I have finally arrived :D

Welcome turbocad! I wasn't too sure about the shape before I ordered one, but I have to say that first, they tend to look better in person, than on the web site, and second, it is surprisingly comfortable to hold! I have found it just as comfortable to use whether I'm holding it with my right hand or my left hand, and sometimes I have it turned one way, using my thumb to fire it, and other times I turn it around and use my index finger to fire it. It is just extremely versatile in every way!

thanks for the welcomes everybody, I appreciate it.

honestly I look at this thing on my computer screen and I really don't even know how I will even hold it, I guess I will find out soon enough :)

I guess I'm just a very stubborn person in general and I love building things and modifying things to be exactly how I want them to be almost to a fault at times, so I just naturally thought that I will just build my own exactly how I want it, but right now I'm just at the point where I don't want to wait till I ever get around to completing something great just to have a great vape.

maybe when I have this thing in my hands I'll embrace the box a bit more, but at least I know that even if I wind up not loving the box form at least I know that I'll love the vape and that it'll be reliable and durable, I went from really not wanting one, to now where I can't wait to get this thing in my hands to really check it out. who knows, maybe I will even wind up modding it a bit too :)

speaking of modding it, rob, could you tell me what alloy of aluminum this is made from?

I guess I'm in the minority. It was love at first sight for me. They look and function like simple elegance to me and the feel in the hand, left or right, feels organic and they are very pocket friendly. I got so tired of fiddling with gennys and tubes rolling around and getting dented.

When I first came to reoville and saw (and subsequently bought) the grand, it was a "wow" moment and I wanted to kick myself for not coming sooner after having wasted a lot of money looking for the perfect mod. Once I had the reo in my hands and after a short learning curve, it was all over and I've never looked back. Not having to change coils every time I rewick is worth the price of admission alone; not to mention the great drip like vape and the best customer service in the mod business. I hope you enjoy the Rob Mod.

Welcome and congrats ..... I have to say once you get it you will find that there are like a dozen ways to hold it and they are all comfy ...

I'm a lefty too, although I usually vape in my right to keep my left free. But either way they REOs are easy to adapt to.

Heck the size and shape suits me so well that I cant stand tube mods ...... totally impractical.
If I have a good tube mod topper I have to set it up like the two on the left .....to make it more REO-like

I'm betting once you get it the looks and ergonomics really grow on ya :)

Let us know when it arrives.

well it has arrived :)

I got this one on the classifieds here... first thing I'm noticing is that you guys are right, it looks much better in hand than it does in pictures. second thing I'm liking is that I got a black one but it is smooth. all the pics I see of these looks like a very heavy bumpy texture but this one looks silky smooth? not sure why that is... I need to build a coil and fire this bad boy up now :)

Cool, if yours is smooth its probably the anodized version that is no longer ..... (hopefully back someday ... Hint)
IMHO they are awesome.

Hope you get it up and running ..... the problem with used ones is usually taking days to get the old flavors and smells out of it and making it your own (flavors and smells) :D

Let us know how it vaping and post some pics.

the only reason i bought a used one is because this one is fresh back from a refurbish from rob and hasn't been used since, new bottle and tube too. also came with a rm2 all ready to go. normally I wouldn't buy one of these used but this one was really priced right and I was able to get it in my hands in 3 days, refurbished with rm2 so I went for it, $120 to my door. usually I see these in the classifieds for like only $12 less than a brand spanking new one, so I guess they hold there value :)

I was expecting to have to sand this thing down and polish it because I was expecting it to have that rough bedliner look, but the smooth anodized looks really nice, it really does look better than all the textured ones I've seen so I think I'm just going to leave it as-is for now, this smooth satin finish really does make it look like a quality piece and it def looks much better than I expected. also, the rm2 is pretty tiny, much smaller than I expected. in pictures I always thought the rm2 was larger than it is, so in scale in my head I think it made me believe the reo was larger than it really is too, overall I feel like I've really been a fool to avoid these as much as I have, this one I got now looks really cool, I like it :D

Welcome Turbo!

I thought the rough looking one was going to feel/look weird, but its actually professional looking and very very nice to hold, I have clammy hands and it doesnt slip. Also, I'm left handed and it fits perfectly in my left hand, the best part about it is the metalic red door faces out so I have some eye candy to look at.

I think it's all the macro shots and extreme closeups that probably exaggerate the texture too, I'm sure the wrinkle finish isn't bad in person but the smooth def looks nice to me.

built a coil and using it now, waiting for my wick to really break in, luckily no odd tastes or smells, aside from a few tiny marks it seems to be pretty close to a new one,I only have 30ga here so I twisted 2 together and threw a coil in it for now, I'll redo it tonight when I get home

I do want to replace the rm2 though, that I'm not so thrilled about being used by someone else, but at least I can use it right away so as a temporary thing to get me going it's ok I guess, I did clean the heck out of it before using it and the drip tip that came with it went straight in the trash :)

it's much smaller than I thought it would be, much smaller than the 2 things I've been carrying today that's for sure :) heres a pic
