I recently started working in a hospital..it is a no smoking campus..this means I cant even smoke in my car..not on a break, not even when Im off the clock. This turned out not to be a problem for me as I started vaping (totally by coincidence) a week before I started working. I mean, we cant even show up for work smelling like smoke or they send you home. For people in similar situations vaping is perfect. If Ive had a particularly rough time with a patient, I can slip into the restroom, whip out my Riva, take a few drags, and continue with my day..in a much better mood. I can not sing the praises of vaping enough, exspecially for people who are under the same limitations. Just wanted to throw a thread out there for people who may be looking for an alternitive in the healthcare field. I vape exclusivly, no more analogs at all, yay! But for people who refuse to give up analogs, give vaping a try, if only for work..you may end up likeing so much you switch over completely.

lol..you bet! i have patients go into the bathroom for a urine sample or something, and they come out.."it smells like coconut in there" i just say its air freshener. :D

That's funny. When I started vaping my girlfriend started calling me "her little air freshener."

... not sure how I feel about that. ;)

The first time I saw someone vape was in a hospital LOL (it was a patient) the second time was in a Doctors office- It was a respiratory technician. The tech got me and my wife started in vaping, so Hospitals have a positive effect on Vaping as far as I'm concerned. At least the ones I've been to so far, I'm sure that not all hospitals are run by intelligent life forms.

Yah, I'm hoping I can get switched over completely myself. I work in a clinic and walk about a block on breaks to get in a Cig. Also have to go to elaborate lengths to hide the smell.

the funny thing there is we all used to do that... and honestly- we weren't fooling anyone. They could smell it.

Amutt, I was a smoker/vapor person for a bit when I started. Couldn't get completely switched over till some one here suggested I go with a more high voltage type mod. That was the kick I needed.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind if I have trouble. Tbh this is the first weekend I've really given regular vaping a go. Using a Joye 510. Currently selling my boss on the concept as well. He pushes patients to quit and if it works well, it'll give him something to try recommending and also make it easier on me to be puffing away *whistles innocently*

Exposing Doctors to vaping is a good thing. I took my Ecig in when I had my last checkup and told him about it. He was interested enough to let me demonstrate it. His eyes got wide when I blew out a stream of vapor. After I did, I asked him if he smelled tobacco. He told me that he actually didn't smell much of anything, certainly not tobacco. In fact, he said it smelled kind of nice (RY4).

A couple of weeks later, a friend of mine who knows I vape and goes to the same doctor, told me that our doctor now has pamphlets in the waiting room that encourage people who smoke to try electronic cigarettes. He did some research and came on board big time.
