The V2 is a wonderful device so don't go returning it or anything because your frustrated by that nasty burnt taste you get when the atty gets too dry.

Actually its not a problem with the atty, its the wick inside the atty... Under the bridge in 510 and 901s [these are the only two I'm familiar with] they're is a small piece of nylon string that acts as a wick to feed fluid from the cartdrige to the inside of the atomizer to be vaporized.

It works fine at 3.7v because you'd probably have to take 20 or 30 second drag to get it hot enough to burn the wick... at 5 volts the attys heat up much quicker and suck fluid faster too. This dries up the wick and causes that foul burnt taste... I was really dissappointed and almost gave up on vaping at 5 volts.

Check out this vid it will show you how to remove the wick. Its best to do on a fresh atty because it will most likely come out in one piece... But a used atty can be used too. It may be a little tricker.

After removing the wick I usually run water into the battery end to flush out any small pieces of wick that are left over... and theres usually little bits that come out.. You don't want any of that stuff in there because it will burn and taste nasty.

Hope this helps...
