Cool thanks. I'm going to try it without the restrictor since I don't use the one that came with the Merlin. The EXO should arrive tomorrow. I shall report back.
I don't use the one the comes with the Merlin either. The Exo has lots more airflow than the Merlin. It won't be a restricted lung hit without the restrictor.

I agree with @ Heartsdelight 4.5 mm air flow without the restrictor 2.5mm with restrictor in
I find the restrictor too restrictive for my taste although it has been completely leak proof since using it. I wish they had other choices besides the 2.5mm

With no restrictor did you try it with air flow 1/2 or 3/4 closed?
Yes I have and that's probably going to be where I will find my sweet spot. Meanwhile, I'm staying with the restrictor because this thing has stayed moistureless. The fact that the restrictor raises the AF hole a little higher above the deck combined with a smaller hole makes it a lot more leak proof.

In my excitement I forgot to put the restrictor in. I got steady leaking from the airflow but that could've been my bad wicking job. I put the restrictor in and it doesn't seem to be leaking.

How far do you guys put your wick ends into the juice flow areas? I had mine completely in the juice flow holes and filled the tank about half way. Would that cause leaking? Everything is screwed in tight and all the gaskets are where they're supposed to be.

I don't think having it completely in the juice flow holes will cause leaking. I used rayon, tight in coil, I think it was a 3- 3.5mm I.d. Coil. I trimmed about 1/2 the wick off maybe less, tucked gently in the juice hole the hole was fully covered but not stuffed.

Yeah I did about the same thing with rayon. I cut maybe 40% off from the bottom of the wick ends. How long should I wait to open the juice flow control after filling the tank?

I open the juice flow immediately after I screw the top cap back on.

I don't know if I've asked before, but what is your VG/PG ratio?

It's 70/30. I was getting very little flavor so I'm in the process of re-wicking. I'm going to try to use less rayon this time and see what happens.

What is your coil i.d.? Next time try cutting from the top of the wick. Put your scissors at make believe half the wick angling your scissors up towards the wick & cut. You don't have to wait. I prime the coil, put the tank on fill then open up the jfc.

My coil ID is 3mm. I've been unable to get any flavor out of rayon with this tank so I went back to cotton. The flavor is kinda there but it's very dry :/

Just keep trying it will work. Try to read over some of the tips on page 1 of the rayon thread. @JeremyR is great.

I'll try again when I run out of cotton. I got rayon working pretty well in my Merlin RTA and eventually in my Engine Nano but I really can't stand the Merlin seeping problem and I was getting very little flavor from the Engine Nano. For the next couple weeks, I just want a problem free vape experience.
