Sometime, you just have to accept that this or that equipment isn't going to work for you.
Everybody including Elvis has it, loves it, vaping fine with it.
You however, are in a different boat.

For me, I have had a few tanks that were only good for holding something down. Though 'everybody' said they were easy as pie to wick. I have a shiny new SX Mini G Class that won't stay unlocked and when it does, shows 'No Liquid' quite often. I just got a months old VT167 back from warranty repair.

I have two of these. The dual decks do not vape at all on any combination of base and tank. After wasting a lot of time, juice, cotton, and perfectly good curse words, I have found that they are excellent single coil tanks. I wouldn't have gotten them as such, but that's what they are. For me. Others sing their praises.

I have found that it's better to get a device that works than to try to force a recalcitrant one into service.

What wattage do you vape. That could be a factor also. these guys seem to be doing mostly around 60s. I usually do around low 40s. I've bumped it to mid 50s now. we'll see

I've been vaping at 30 watts with a .43 ohm SS316 24 gauge coil with TC set to 450F. How does wattage effect leaking?

It's a good thing I got this with the intention of using in single coil mod or else

I kind of did too, I like a good single coil vape as I only do TC. But the dual deck capability was the thing that was the decider, tipped the scale.

I would be highly po'ed... I want a G Class, but not in my pay grade. :D

Talking of a recalcitrant tank, the Engine nano is mine. Everyone loves it and sings its praises, but for me it is just a red headed step child... :glare:

Could it be the wicking? I cut off 1/2 the wick (rayon) then put in the channels with maybe 1mm sticking through.

Thanks for the suggestion but it's not wicking, I don't have a problem with juice feed. The vape from it for me is very mediocre, the last attempt was a 4.5mm ID twisted 26g coil. It has provided the best vape from it so far and it is still lacking. I've run the gamut of different coils and wicking styles trying to get even Ammit performance from the nano, but no joy. It's the design of the chamber and airflow that is the problem for me.

You vape sub 30W on most devices and I haven't run a device that low since Kayfun days. I can't vape my Kayfun's, Taifun's or Flashi's anymore either. The thick dense cloud and flavor a good dual coil RTA like the Crius+, Aromamizer Supreme and Plus provides, has me spoiled and expecting too much from single coil tanks. I took a gamble on the EXO with it's single coil option, knowing full well that I could run dual if I had to. The single coil EXO performs excellent for me, very similar to a dual coil setup with less power and juice consumption. ;)

I was really surprised by the Ammit, the performance is almost identical to the EXO's and it should be since they have an almost identical single coil deck design. The only con for me with the Ammit is the capacity, again one get's spoiled by the Aromamizer Plus's 20ml option. :D

If I still vaped the Flashi's or 'fun's then I might enjoy the Engine nano, a single 26g coil at 25 watts would be perfect. I just can't vape those atty's anymore.

I seem to fall into the same group. I love the single coil on the EXO (and good thing since both dual decks were DOA), but at the moment I'm vaping happily on my standard, the Aromamizer Supreme with 3.5mm ID SS 430 claptons, these are set for 70W @ 420F on my VT167.
You like the postless deck on the Plus? That was the only thing holding me back on it. That and a mod that will fit it.

I know you didn't ask me but the postless deck on the Plus is nice! Plenty of room. I have a 4mm single coil Clapton in mine. Plenty room for duals.

Edit: the velocity deck is coming out soon for separate purchase

Thanks for the positive comment! Velocity, eh? I'd rather have that as the lovely coil assistant doesn't like pre-cutting to fit postless. I think the Bachelor was that way. Vaped great, LCA didn't care for it.
Hope the Plus is as good as the Supreme if I use the 5ml or 10ml tank. But first, I have to resolve the G Class and find something that won't suffer from overhang. First world problems to be sure...

@TrollDragon can answer using the 10ml. I started with the rda mod, then 5ml was suppose to work my way up to the 10ml, maybe the 20ml. I got the complete kit. I stopped for now at 5ml.

They're coming out with a Supreme v2. Soon. Uses the same decks as Supreme but they are getting rid of the small pins for the jfc & it will have the same afc holes like the Plus. It's like a 25mm Plus.

If interested join the Facebook Steamcrave Fan Club. Lots of really nice people. You can see the many mods that fit the Plus there.

The Plus postless is really easy to mount the coils. It's my first postless & I got it on the first try.

Sounds like a great build for the Supreme, I have dual super Juggernauts in mine at 85W. The Supreme is a great RTA, it has a bit of a condensation issue on the AFC ring but that's really minor.

The Plus is another excellent tank out of House Steam Crave, I have dual 4mm fused Claptons in it. The deck is a piece of cake to build and wick, they actually designed it properly with the wicks going straight into the juice channels out of the coils. I had high expectations for the Supreme's postless deck, only to find out they built it crosswise to the juice channel. The only problem with the deck on the Plus is the low chamber height, you have to mount 4mm coils quite close to the deck. I think it would be a tight squeeze to get the advertised 6mm ID coils mounted without them shorting on the chamber roof.

I have run the Plus in both 20ml and 10ml mode, finally sticking with the 10ml tank. The 20ml setup holds a ton of juice and has quite the wow factor down at the local B&M. It's just a little too big to pocket and with that serious wall of glass, I'd hate to accidentally knock it over and have it break. I have a second Plus inbound, and will run it in 5ml mode to compare flavor against the bigger tanks.

The Plus seems quite suited for the G Class, would be nice to have but the LUX will suffice. My second Plus will be going on the iPV8, the 510 is centered on that mod and there is very minimal overhang.

I have the CCI BFDFT as well, another postless deck RTA with 10 ml capacity. Great flavor and vapor but whistles depending on coil height and placement. Needless to say, the BFDFT was boxed back up when the Plus arrived. ;)

Thanks for the firsthand info!
I'd likely still use my 3.5 claptons, but if needed 4mm is easily doable. I saw some people claim leaking, but even I'd have to struggle to get a leak from the looks of it.

Gotta see what Yihi is going to do with the G I have. They have one more day before I turn it over to my credit card company. They won't bat an eye taking my side if it comes to that.
