have any of you guys tried these with 100% VG juice? website says: "PG based up to 70/30% PG/VG recommended", so was just curious

I tried another company's not as good version of the Ikon tank with 100% VG juice. It was working OK, but the flavor was a little weak. I never tried putting it on my Provari and cranking up the voltage, but it was giving me nice vapor and a faint taste on the 3.7v battery.

If I were to try it again I would try it on a VV and see if a couple extra voltage increments make a difference. If not, I would then try adding very small amounts of distilled water to see if its a wicking issue.

I would say it will work...but I'll give it another shot when mine arrives and let you know if it was a voltage issue or inability to properly wick.

I would also like to say my Ikon tank was working fantastically and above my expectations with 70/30 PG/VG Cola from Backwoods Brew.

They work on the same principle (but different as the CE2s) which use a 70/30 mix as well. I use 100% VG but my liquids have the consistency of PG for carts and tank use.

Nailed it on the head. 100% VG = a wicking problem and dry hits. The design of this tank system (IKV) = no dry hits with properly ratio liquids.

BTW I love this thing and absolutely deplore, hate CE2s

With the CE2s, after the second of third fill, my juice always started tasting weird. Kind of like a sour taste. Does that happen with this tank?
It does/doesn't. You can get a dry hit from it, but just like a ce2, you can just turn the unit horizontally and give it a little spin to recirculate the liquid flow.

hopin to get these bad boys by sunday. going snowboarding with all my analog smoker buddies and i been waiting for this device for forever to convert them!!!! ;D (didn't want to scare them with my big ole provari or omega, lol). wish me luck -.-
lol I don't know about that one Noc, They are pretty large and are syringe based. So it may cause headaches more than anything for smokers to prep them. However to have full tanks while out boarding is a great substitute for a dripping atty. Plus the locking cap on the mouth piece is definitely an incentive. But there is still the filling/refilling drawback.
Be safe out there!!

Oh man, I totally forgot to add the syringe with that order! Do you have one or need me to send another package?

Hey Isaac, thanks for the offer that's really cool of you - but don't fret! I still have one from the last time I was filling the Ikon tank. I'm ready to vape the heck out of these things :) This is exactly what I wish I had more of for when I am at work.

Hassle free Etank vaping by day, spoiling myself with the io6 at night

You could try taking it out with a syringe.
No It's pretty much a sealed unit.
