Morning, all.

Cat - I hope you can get some rest today. Feeling it for you. :-(

On taxes. Many years ago Steve Forbes proved that if every American paid 11% (at that time) of their actual earned income (no "adjusted" carp) into the system, the government would raise receipts (slightly) and it would greatly simplify everyone's lives. In addition, it would remove the power that the lobbyists had (and still do) in manipulating the system to their advantage, and also remove politicians' incentive to strike dirty deals in order to get elected.

The very party he was running with spun on him, turning him into a nut-job (which is absurd when you think about it), and he went from front-runner to also-ran in the blink of an eye.

Just recently, the exact same thing happened with Rick Perry. As soon as he proposed a flat-tax, he plummeted (by design of those who previously propped him up). Struck by the very hands that had helped raise him to front-runner status. And "we" never realized it was even happening.

That's the saddest part; that we the people eat it up. We buy into it, believe it totally, then feed the frenzy. In the process we totally lose sight of what's actually going on (a very intentional removal of a candidate), which is exactly what "they" want to happen.

We are blind to the realities and ignorant to the processes that surround our elective system (which is still the best in the world, but with fault-lines ever growing). I've got hundreds of current-day examples I could cite, where the blind have wrongly been led off a cliff (to the detriment of our country instead of their perceived benefit), but I'm going to end Sunday Soapbox now. There's no value to it and I don't want to start the day in a bad mood. :D

To Sunday! We rest. Especially you, Cat. Please. :)

That does not surprise me at all after seeing Obama elected to two terms. People don't vote on reality they vote in a dreamworld.
If Forbes or Perry would of kept quiet about it and fed the folks a line about the dream they wanted and then done as they want, and screw the people, like Obama did they would of been elected. People don't want to hear the facts they just want to hear some dream they have that is an impossibility.

Bovi - hope your paperwork wrestle is going OK. I don't know if there's anything I can do, but the offer stands.

And J5, just watch what they do to the next victim (Ben Carson). Right now everyone's leaving him alone. Soon he will be eviscerated by the Left (remember what they did to Allen West in FL?) and annihilated by the Right, most likely for being "out of touch".

The saddest part of that is that he's probably the candidate the country would benefit the most from by electing. But it will never happen. I hate to sound like a defeatist but I fully expect that our path to self-destruction will continue unimpeded.

And I believe I know who the next Prez will be, and it's probably not who you're thinking. Pray that I'm wrong.

Perfect Wharf. But until the people start using their heads to vote instead of voting for who their hero, or favorite actor, or their best friend is voting for or even worse, Party Lines, it's not going to change. I don't see that happening and as long as it continues we are going to get people like Obama that hasn't a clue what running a country "FOR THE PEOPLE" is all about.

Taxes... argh.. finances, in general, literally give me a stomach ache!! I placed my first IKV order last week (it should be here tomorrow). I ordered one of every 510 punched carto that would fit in my Billet Box. You guys that use a BB... what's your choice? Any suggestions, tips, recommendations? I've not had much success, in the past with cartos (but have never used IKV). I know to fill properly, wait, etc. but......

I've long had agreements and disagreements with Lessig, but agree with most of what he said in that TED vid. The one thing he got wrong is that we do not have a Democracy. We never did, nor was it intended to be. What we have (as Ben Franklin once so eloquently put it) is a Republic. Agree or disagree, it is what we have. And it can work (but currently it is not, for many of the reason Lessig cites).

The very first thing we should stop is the gerrymandering of districts. This is crime happening at it's deepest source, and is unknown to most Americans. But it creates many of the problems that plague us, and the two criminal elements (the Parties) do it in concert with each other.

But the thing to pay most attention to is the "...30-70% of their time getting re-elected or keeping their party in power." That one fact (which is quite true), combined with the absolutely ridiculous compensation packages we have allowed them to grant themselves, should land each and every one of them in jail.

And us, for concentrating on what someone said ("He said 1%!"), or what we disagree with related to any candidate, we should have our collective heads examined to make sure there are brains inside.

So far at least, we deserve our fate. If we can manage to somehow snap our heads out of our own rear-ends, as we have done in the past (hello, 1980 among others), then we might end up OK.

vape talk - YAY, Mommay!!! :)

It's really a personal preference, so I'd recommend trying each and seeing which you prefer. For the BB, the larger holed ones may end up as your favorites. I find those or the slotteds (which I don't believe he had in stock) to work best for my vape style and preferences.

We'll be VERY interested to hear your reports though, so please...

@DPLongo22 Thanks for the quick reply. Yep, the slotteds were out of stock. I was able to order the Fusion, Fusion K, Platinum & Platinum K - each in SR & LR. I almost ordered a couple of the 801's that everyone seems to like, but even with a stealth adapter (found one in stock at another vendor) didn't think that there would be room for it in the BB. Correct? I may throw a couple in with my next order to try on tanks with the Provari again- if these work out. I prefer the form factor of the BB &, really want to love it. I really wanted to love my Mini Reo, too - but that never happened. So, keeping my fingers crossed. When the package comes, I'll start with the SR Carto with the largest holes - I think that will be the Platinum (dual 3mm ports) - unless someone else has other suggestions. I know everything is subjective, but I also know that peeps with experience are the best source of tips, info & suggestions... I am definitely NOT one of the in-the-know peeps of this category. LOL

Hiya Moms. I also agree that the largest feeding hole will be your best bet for the B Box. I never fully enjoyed the vapes on mine until I discovered the slotteds, but you should be fine with the Plats (dual port).

I seem to think I used a Fusion once in the B Box.... but I've been known to be dreamy....dreaming, I mean. ;)

No love for the Reo Mini? Welp, I actually share that non-love. I had one only for a few months and traded it for a (my first) Provi.

Keeping digits xxxxxxxxxxxx'd for ya!

I have been using a fillerless Nitro in mine so long I've forgotten how long it's been. Somewhere around 4 or 5 months and it still performs the way it did on day one.

Are your nitros the SR J?? I personally think SR anything perform best in the bbox no matter what it is.

So my daughter is now vaping:facepalm:. She has never smoked and doesn't inhale. I spent about an hour with her today showing her everything. She is hooked on those stupid red bull energy drinks, foo foo coffees, and everything else that is not very good for her and she has gained almost 30 flippin pounds since she went off to college. Then she comes home and crys me a river about it. I cannot begin to tell you how much time I have spent teaching that girl about nutrition and whatnot over the years. Geesh! She came into the vape shop last week and started trying some 0 nic flavors. She asked if I would get her the red bull and a melted chocolate flavor. So my eleaf mini's are now my daughter's:laugh:. She hasn't put the red bull flavored one down today. I hope she can find her way...Mom has done all she can at this point. She has to figure it out now.

I worked on the taxes some today DP, but it's very hard to concentrate with interruptions every 10 minutes. I would compare Katie with a hyperactive toddler, imagine trying to absorb tax code with that kind of chaos.

Yes, I has a grumpy...need to put on my soul soothing music and dissolve into it

Nutrition?? Where do vanilla wafers & graham crackers fall in the food plan? It seems that I always have something in my mouth. If it's not a vape, it's a drink or a snack - I can sympathize with your daughter, Cat. For me it's that oral fixation more than anything else. I vape a lot of 0 mg now, and some 3, but so glad that I don't smoke anymore. I know of several peeps that lost weight after they started vaping

Months on a carto??? Geez, I'd think I was in heaven. It seems that I'm always changing coils or something.... That's quite a compliment to IKV quality!
