An update that's not really an update:
Turns out I had put the wrong face with a name. A different Jason than who I was originally thinking was involved in the accident. The actual guy who died was 36, from Washington & I was talking with him shortly before it happened. He was a very cool guy. Other than that, the official reports are sparse & grossly incorrect. (But that's par for the course for our joke of a local paper).

Both times are wrong - the cops were on the scene by 11am & we already knew more details than are currently being reported by 11pm. I last saw him around 1am - it must have happened within the next couple of hours. He was also heading down the mountain (eastbound) & the skidmarks prove their entire recount of the incident isn't even close to what really happened. There isn't a single 'ditch' anywhere on that road & the 'steep embankment' is pretty
steep. Like as steep as a cliff. Because it is one. I questioned if he was ejected as well, but according to 3 different people who were actually there, it appeared by the angle & how he came to rest, he was attempting to crawl out of the vehicle. I'm almost certain he died from injuries sustained in the impact, just not immediately.
He was a very cool dude. Funny, too. He & this other guy just got their butts handed to them at the pool table. We were joking around about a few different things that night. One of the last things we talked about was his hat. It was an old-timey golf/driving hat. It was his grandfathers & he really loved it. He told me he was going to wear it until the day he died. I just wish it wasn't that day.

Nah, Wharf. I just miss that old "fun" nature of MNF. I also miss it being the ONLY prime time game each week. Call me nostalgic, call me old. Call me whatever you wish.
But they're turning the NFL into the NBA, and that's not a good thing. At least for me.

Moving on - yep, Bov, I eat 2 or 4 good size servings per week to keep my blood from thinning too much (Warfarin). It works like a charm.

Had a little excitement of my own last night that took a trip to the ER to resolve. On Saturday night I got a tiny nick on my left ear (scratching an itchy spot) and it bled like crazy. Every time I would release pressure it would start bleeding again. After 24 hours of that, I decided I better get some advice. It took three applications of silver nitrate to finally stop the bleedingI'm one tired puppy today.
