I read that in the news, Oz. Very sad indeed.

I think she has one of those emergency jump kits in her trunk, J5. Right now I can barely carry 16lbs of fur baby up the stairs...no way am I juggling car batteries. If nothing else, she can call road side service that is included in her auto insurance. I'll have to look at the date...may be time for a new battery.

Anyone wondering why I have to carry Chase up the stairs...he's half dachshund and his long body and short legs don't play well with these steep, narrow New England style of stairs

Plus he's a boy and probably don't feel all that good on his credentials beings he's short legged.

If she don't, one of those cheap little battery chargers are a good thing to have.

Here's a really small jump starter that you can hold in one hand. Plus it can be chared with the sun.

Hahaha!! When I first got him as a pup there were two vets at the clinic I took him to. I wanted to have him neutered...the female vet said he was old enough. The male vet said I should wait and let him enjoy "them" for awhile first

Katie checked her insurance and she has roadside service. I told her if I she doesn't have the jump kit (I think there is one in her trunk) then she'll have to call for help.

I tried to tackle what should have been an easy job with Katie's car this morning but without proper tools, it turned into a cluster eff. No emergency jump kit, no battery charger, so I decided I'd just take the battery out, go get a new one. Simple, right? Not!

No sockets the right size to loosen the terminals, but I got them off with a pair of pliers. Went to honk the batt out and it's got a mount bolt way down in the bottom that I can't get to without an extension and socket.

Called the Hyundai Dealer where Katie takes her car for maintenance, told the guy in the parts dept. what the issue is and asked if I could borrow the tool needed. He put me on hold, came back about 5 mins later and said that he would send a guy out with a new battery, replace it, and since Katie was such a good client...no charge!! No labor, don't even have to pay for the battery!! YAY!

My suspicion on the freebie is that they looked back in her service record and found the battery still under warranty. The month is marked on the old batt, but not the year. But at least Katie's happy thinking she's really getting it free

All fixed, except I need to take it down sometime in the next week. The mech dropped the bottom battery mount bolt down into the cowling and they gotta put it up on a rack to fetch it

He should have brought his handy dandy magnetic retriever with him. That'll teach him.
So glad you got that out of the way though.

I heard that on the weather earlier today, 5'er.

Lovely...Katie left the interior light on in her car and now her battery is dead. In the garage, where I can't get my car close enough to jump start it.

That's a WIN! What good luck Miss D. The kiddies, not naming which one.. Well Lara left the dome light on in Val's car (our car now lol) I went to Autozone and oh my god battery prices SOARED since I was in the auto industry! 144 for one battery? Seriously? I found a jumping kit for 95 and voila!
Beautiful painting! Love it!!

I was thinking the same exact thing! God knows how many times that handy dandy tool comes in...handy lol

Haha, he did have the magnetic thingie with him but he still couldn't get to it! They need to pull a plastic piece off from underneath. Katie was standing over him with her hawk eyes and her ungrateful tone, screeching about him not scratching her paint! All the guys from the dealership are very familiar with her...and very happy that they usually get to deal with me instead!! She did give him a $20 for coming out tho :)

DP, Ce sont de belles! Merci

Tip of the hat, M'lady. :)

Vous êtes si belle Bovinia

I got all 3 computers running today. They are all on different tasks. I got them on a hub so they're all hooked to this keyboard and my hdtv. But even in this weather it gets hot with them all going at once.

What kind of ph-horn sites are you running over there, Stud???
