Good morning friends.
We had a Huge SPCA rescue call yesterday just east of me. 40+ dogs (mostly) from a puppy mill. In all my time with the SPCA, myself and others had never seen such filth inside a residence. These are really SICK beings. Notice I didn't used the word "human"?
I've had peppermint essential oils on my upper lip all yesterday and my eyes watered constantly.
These sweet dogs, some so weak they could barely lift their heads, still managed to wag their tail a bit when we talked to them.
Last night was the best night they may ever have had.
As soon as possible, each will be up for adoption.

Wow!!! Ditto what Bov said Rosco! I see (and have seen over the last months) why you are so loved! I can't imagine what you felt... the pain and sadness, mixed with happiness that you got them out!!

Unbelievable how sick people can be.

and hi all!! Just been busy... all is good. Hope you are too!! (I couldn't catch up)

I'll be back soon. <wave> <wave> <wave>

There are countless people who really care for animals. I just happen to have the time to do more than some others. Some contribute monetarily and some like I contribute our time/labor. All we give will never be enough, so we can't stop doing everything possible to be the voice for animals of all kinds.
We live with evil all around and we must always help to overcome it.
The licks and tail wags are more than enough for my heart. I will never quit doing all I can to help abused and neglected animals. I sincerely believe we share the same souls, as crazy as that may sound to some.

We lost one of the dogs this morning who was one of the dogs in the worst condition. She had started to eat a little bit and drink some. She had even walked a few steps on her own, which have us all some hope.
2 of us spent the night with her, who we have named Hope, because everyone hoped the best for her.
Her best was to cross her bridge into her healthy new life.
She has our scent and will welcome us again one day. Best of all is that she finally felt what love is like, and will get to feel that for eternity now.
