Sorry I missed you guys over the weekend. Between a vape meet, Katurday nite out, and all the Love going around...... welp?

Evaporation comes from breathing (leaving the top off). Molecules of liquid escape the bonds of the body of the liquid. Much of this is from volatile compounds. With a closed bottle top, there is very little evaporation. The volume of air will hold only so much of these particles before it becomes saturated and can't hold anymore.

Steeping or more properly, infusion is the process of extracting chemical compounds or flavors from plant material in a solvent such as water, oil or alcohol like PG and VG, by allowing the material to remain suspended in the solvent over time.

Right now herbal olive oils are in vogue. If you put a twig of thyme in a bottle of olive oil, over time the flavor will dissolve into the oil and will meld together.

E liquid is a little different as all the flavors are suspended in the solvent from the start. The solvent will dissolve those flavors and meld them together.

I've been DIYíng for almost 4 years and most often there is a noticeable change in the flavor profile over time.

I hope this helps.

I found this VERY interesting, oh Rat du Wharf! There have been many threads talking about steeping, melding, brewing, and so on. I actually like "infusing". That makes sense considering the chemicals at hand. Thank you, sweet Leeeeeee!

Morning:)

J and K1...I just don't understand your instructions to post. J, maybe I can meet you for coffee and you can give me some hands on instructions. I have many skills...but this type of skill doesn't come to me naturally at all. I struggle with this stuff, and it's okay.

And just by the way, in case you girls didn't know, J has the cutest dimples ever!!;)

K1-Chase is absolutely adorbs:)

So two kids drove right in front of me and my car is totaled as a result.:( This happened Friday. I had to rent a car for the weekend. Now I have to go find a car today. The kid had no drivers license, no insurance, blah blah. They wanted me to just take care of mine and they take care of theirs. I told them I would have to call my insurance and make a claim. I got all the information and took a bunch of pictures. They begged me not to call the police, and I told them claims would want me to call the authorities. Then they said they had to go to the hospital and just left! I called claims and reported it. Before I even had the chance to call the police, a deputy sheriff calls me and asked what happened. I told him...he said the kid called and said I left the scene:blink:. He also told me a witness called it in and stated the kids drove right out in front of me and to get the report. It was in a parking lot, so evidently the authorities don't do parking lot investigations and he warned me I'd probably have to go to court. Anyway, been a weird weekend...to say the least.:?:

C2, soooooooooo sorry. What a mess and what an unwanted drama! I do hope you get with your insurance company, and I agree with Wharfy. You have uninsured motorist to cover this. Nevertheless, it's just one more thing on your already full plate. :(

Sorry hon. Hang in there. You'll be fine!

J5ish.....

    Morning!:)
Thanks everyone for your thoughts and comments. Yes, my insurance will cover it once they finish their investigation since the kids are lying. The witness report should do it once we get that. I went in to get a kia soul yesterday...and after 3 test drives for 3 different cars, I drove away with a completely different car altogether. At least I have wheels again...yay!! Have a good day everyone:)

    Sorry catcat !

    Uninsured Motorist...
...I don't know about where you are, but in Florida Uninsured Motorist coverage won't help your car.
It's only for the medical bills of the named insureds if they are injured in an accident, totally not at fault and the other party does not have Bodily Injury coverage.

Classy I'm not sure here but I thought it was car too. Thanks for the info because now I'm going ask. But if someone ran into my car and killed it I would tack the title on the dash and call for a ride. I hate that car.

    Fran sleep tight.

lol...I need a new car too.

Yep, it's collision coverage that repairs your car in an accident.
Their Property Damage if their fault, your collision if your fault.

My oil light and alarm keep going off. I think it's the sensor though because I can do a restart and the alarm and light don't go off anymore but I'm still afraid to go anywhere too far.
