Here's the latest in the feet saga. I saw the foot doc. and he give me one of those I haven't got a clue looks.
I said doc I get referred to another doc that refers me to another doc and this has been going on for 2 months and all the time this stuff keeps getting larger. I said I know doctors don't have a crystal ball but the dermatologist appt. isn't until the last week in May. If it's moved this far in 2 months I wonder how far it will go in 3 more months. And the kicker is nobody even knows what it is.
Then I said doc. what do you think about me going to the ER? He said even though he doesn't like sending his patients to the ER It sounded like the best plan for what's going on. So next week I'm heading to the ER.

Totally unacceptable that they can't figure out what's going on with you, J! ER sounds like a good next step.
It's near impossible to get a dermatologist appointment here too. Are they really so busy everywhere? Hubs has a May appointment too for a bad rash on his legs.
Yes, they are too busy with Botox! When I tried to get an appt, every derma around here was booked 6 months out.
Ya they are busy making the big bucks doing physical alterations on people. I believe the hospital has their own staff so I should be okay going there.

Docs can only do what they're allowed to do. They've tried hard to figure out whats going on. The problem is the time involved in going from one doc to the next trying to figure out what it is and time is my enemy right now. The hospital has resources that doctors don't have.
Waiting until monday is so I can set things up to be gone in the event they keep me.

This guy is a foot doc. and like I told him yesterday, I realize this is on my feet but it has nothing to do with feet it just happens to be there.
He agreed and said my feet are fine. I just need to one figure out what it is and 2 I don't have until next Christmas to do that. They all think it's a vascular issue but the rheumatologist said it could be anything from soup to nuts. They just have to figure it out....and while I still have feet.

Worth a call? Better than the ER (trust me, please). Been there, done that. BAD results (similar issue).

Gosh J...okay, now remind me what is going on with your foot?? Obviously you are struggling to walk? It looks like a rash? I really feel for you right now. I think having to go to ER is insane...but then again, it doesn't surprise me at all. I got sick in 2007 with the most bizarre symptoms. By 2008 I started going to doctors to figure out what was happening. I went to at least 11 different doctors (all bouncing me to some kind of specialist). It was pure hell and no one knew what was wrong. One finally recommended I go to the mayo clinic where a team of them could try to figure it out. In the meantime, I got worse and worse and fell into a deep depression. I finally gave the finger to western med doctors and pushed myself to reach out one more time...to a naturopath. She wasn't sure either, but she was researching like crazy and finally found a couple docs in San Francisco that she thought might be able to help get a diagnosis. So I flew to San Fran. It was 2010 by then. Anyway, they found one big thing (chronic Lymes disease) and another ailment that is NOT recognized by the CDC. The positive out of all of it was I quit smoking and met all of you!
Anyway, I wish you all the best and sincerely hope your trip to the ER will be worth it. It is so frustrating not knowing what the heck is wrong, and stressful to keep bouncing around to a bunch of docs. Hugs, J.
