Hopefully this will be Passed on thru Social Media groups. And will appear on Vendors websites as well.
I called Representative Kathleen Williss office this morning to politely voice my opposition to HB 3362. I also called my Illinois House Representative and had a pleasant and long conversation with one of his staff about my opposition to the bill and to HB 5689 (a bill that would ban the sale of liquid for e-cigarettes until the Illinois Department of Public Health establishes packaging standards, also introduced by Kathleen Willis). I dont know if signing the petition or either of my phone calls will help, but Ive invested just a small amount of time that seems better than doing nothing at all.

Looks like Illinois Rep Kathleen Willis killed her own bill to ban flavored e-cigs and e-liquid.
Legislators do that when they know they don't have enough votes to get the bill approved (or even out of a committee), and don't want to be embarrassed by losing a vote on their own bill.

The greater embarrassment comes from propounding the bill in the first place.
Very cool. A big thank you to everyone who took time to sign the petition. I'm not sure what caused Rep Willis to table the bill, and we'll probably never know, but it's a good result.
Let's not celebrate yet... HB2404 is the target now or else smoking could get redefined to include vaping and thus the smoke free act will apply to us while in public.
