It works. The right sized o-ring, a button cap and then fire pin damage is over.

I took an O-ring off of the drip tip from my Kanger GeniTank Mega and put it under the button cover. It's perfect!

Fantastic idea and trying this as soon as I get home, that is if I have the right size oring laying around.

Pulled the oring off a protank 2 atomizer and it fits snug like a glove. Button stops at the perfect point! +1 Great idea.

I dug through my o-rings and found that, for an AW button top battery, a 1.5mm x 6mm o-ring was about the perfect fit. Gives enough throw to make contact on the button top, but stops before I can mash it down.

Not sure if I'm prone to mashing or not, but I figure this is easy preventative maintenance!
