Are you guys saying the only reason most of you vape is because you’re so addicted to nicotine that you CANT STOP and you see vaping as a safer alternative? To me..THAT seems immature. I’m not trying to offend anyone with that statement, just trying to understand your point of view. I may have come off as some kid that just wants a new toy (since about 4 of you pretty much said just that, haha) but I think some may have misjudged me…

This sums up my desire to vape, in a nutshell. I've been smoking since I joined the Army 16 years ago (we figured we were all going to die, so we didn't care about the addiction) and have been trying to quit for the past 8. It's an ugly habit, it stinks, it's expensive, has left me with this chronic cough and all but destroyed my singing voice.

I've tried patches, lozenges, gum, hypnosis, neuro linguistic programming, accupuncture, Chantix, Zyban... pretty much everything on the market and it didn't do much to help me quit.

This is another avenue and, even if I can't kick the nicotine habit, it's a heck of a lot safer than traditional smoking. I plan on reducing my nicotine intake until I'm using 0 nic juice and then kicking the psychological habit. The worst that can happen is that I go back to traditional smoking, so... nothing ventured, nothing gained.

A plan to vape occasionally and use 0 nicotine juice is probably a good one :)

Do you guys normally try and talk people out of e-cigs? yes, all the time, non-smokers should STAY non-smokers

Well, many of us were looking down the road and seeing our own death staring back at us...while we don't know the long term effects of vaping, we are confident that it just HAS to be better than smoking. When we see a non-smoking starting down that path behind us our natural instinct is to call out to them, "wait! Don't come down this way! Turn back!" I don't think its immature..it's an alternative to smoking and it probably wont kill us but, believe me, most of us would go beck in time to where you are now and never start smoking if we could.

I really, really don't want to be a harpy...really. And if you are going to do one or the other anyway then please vape. But, if you are in a position to not do either one then that is what you should do...IMO. I'm going to shut up now and never bug you about it again - please don't be mad, we are trying to save you years of shame, poor health, and heartache...that's all.:)

I'm not mad at all! I would much prefer to hear someones honest opinion than hear a sugar coated fake comment :) Now...I have a question...Do you (and this goes for other people) Really think that vaping 0nicotine cigz has possible health risks?

Nope. 0mg should be just fine! (as long as you keep it like that:)) From what I've read, these things should be perfectly safe-of course there's not a lot of evidence either way yet:rolleyes: all I'm sure of is that it's better than smoking.

Good luck on your choice of vaping device. One vape you may find useful is the disposable cigar. Although they aren't rechargeable they are a great treat now and then and can keep going a week before either the e-liquid or the battery runs out and they look fantastic! Also you may like the e-pipe or the mini pipe.

If something with an LED that vapes similar to a cigar but looks kinda like a cigarette is in order you can't go wrong with the penstyle!

Good luck with whatever you choose!

I am only 100% sure that analogs are bad for you. I am a cyclist, runner, triathlete etc and know that it slows me down. This SEEMS to be helping and the data leans to better. Long term? Who knows. My thought is that it really couldn't be worse than analogs, so I am willing to risk it after looking at the data. I thinks it SHOULD be safe, but probably 70% sure on that (bio and chem degrees here). Make your own call from there.

I think it is safer than cigarettes, but playing in freeway traffic is too...
