I'm a sigelei Zmax Fanboy (At least for the moment)
Please before chiming in on this thread make sure you don't have a smoktek Zmax, it's a totally different unit.
I lost my Provari Ouch and didn't want to lay out the big bucks for a new one so I picked this up for less than 1/2 the price of a Provari.
I was expecting to feel shortchanged but I was pleasantly surprised, this unit on first impression is as good or better than the Provari. Variable Wattage, Native Ego Connecter are all features that should have been built into the Provari Long ago.
Let me clarify that the unit I'm referring to is a Sigelei Zmax Version 3 with Ego Threading from Vapor Alley. I am verifying that it works great with the Kanger t3 [Screwed in flawlessly and plenty of room for Airflow]
My fear that it wouldn't work with standard protected 18650 Batteries is also allayed. It comes with two caps. The longer cap works fine with my Protected 18650 Battery or two 18350 batteries and the short one is for the IMR Style Battery. By the way they don't bang you an extra $15.00 or $20.00 like Provape does for the 18650 cap. (Greedy). I'm not going to be doing extreme vaping so there is no reason why I need the LIMN which has lower mah (2000mah vs 2800mah) and is more expensive
On first impression this unit is: rock solid, Heavy, Minimum rattling, threads well machined, good button. The only two drawbacks is that it's slightly longer than the Provari also since it's new, I don't have information on Long Term Reliability. It takes a native Ego Clearo without an adapter. Provari you need the adapter.
I like the menu system better on the Zmax than the Provari. Around 1/2 the clicks to get to where you want on the Zmax as compared to the Provari [Annnoying]
I set it at 5 watts and move up to 6.5 Watts depending on the time of day and am using with a Kanger 2.4 [Shows 2.6] and I'm a happy Vaper.
So if you are a Sigelei Zmax Fanboy join the thread, specially those that have had it for a while.
