Hello;
Can someone help me with some things that I ( and I'm sure, others) have been confused about??
I am totally confused as to the 508, 808, and evod thingys. I'm assuming its a thread
on the different fittings. That makes some things not interchangable ???

The other confusing thing is Nicotine amounts.

Assuming we use 18mg nic that means that for every ML nic juice, contains 18mg of nic ???
How does that relate to a analog cig. ??
I read somewhere that a 1.6 ml clearomizer is equal to 1 pkg of analogs. Is that correct??
The numbers don't seem to match up....and that means I'm vaping 2 pks of ciggys a day ???
assuming i refill twice.

My math looks like..... 1ml of juice contains 18mg of nic. My old analogs( Kamel, non filter) contained
28mg....half of which was consumed into lungs and other half combustion. (from what
I have read). Now, to me that sounds like 1ml of juice(18mg)= a little over one analog

So how does the consensus come up with 1.6 clearomizer = 1 pk analogs ??

Sorry if i put this in a confusing way.
Curious minds need to know

The 510 - 808 - ego are thread designations, an ego type battery has both 510 internal and 'ego' external threads, any delivery device that has either thread will work on the battery.
808 battery is only compatible with 808 delivery devices unless an adapter is used.
An evod battery has both 510 & ego threading, an evod clearo uses the ego threading to make the connection.

There is no accurate way to calculate xx ml of xx mg liquid = xx cigarettes.

I'm sure someone can, but I don't know that it is me.

Right, different threads. 510, 901, 2 different types of 808, 4092 are just a few and then there are eGo threads that have 510 threading + the eGo threads so it can take 510, 306, and eGo threaded devices. (510 and 306 are the same threads.) Know your threads and stick with that if you like your batteries.

Correct "mg" is poor shorthand for "mg/ml".

You could do a bunch of hoop jumping with math and some conditional spreads to basically say, it really doesn't relate, but here's a cool formula that doesn't work. If you like crunching numbers to get meaningless answers, that's cool. Otherwise try different nicotine levels until you find one that works for you and forget the math.

I read somewhere that a 1.6 ml clearomizer is equal to 1 pkg of analogs. Is that correct??
Nope, meaningless marketing speak.

You seem to be confusing consensus with correct. The consensus you're speaking of is spread from a marketing/advertising ploy and then spread around. Just because everyone is telling you that, doesn't make it correct. If they told you that Subaru was the only car company that made AWD cars, that is another popular one that is still incorrect. (You could get yourself an AWD Dodge Charger if you wanted to spend the $ for the AWD option.)

That's why your math will not add up. The math doesn't work in the first place and the marketing hype is wrong too. Two wrongs don't make a right...heh...I just typed that and laughed at myself...I need to get out more!

There's no reliable way to equate e-liquids nicotine to a pack, but...

The starting *guideline* is that 1 mL is one pack. That's +/- 50% (big margin of error). 1.6 mL could be a pack, but that's on the high side.

You do get most of the nicotine from real cigarettes; you'll get 10 to 40% of the nicotine from e-liquids (average: 25%).

You may end up vaping more than you used to smoke, or vice versa, and that's what determines your starting nic level. Once you're past the first three weeks (maybe more, maybe less) transition period, you should feel comfortable taking the nicotine level down a little bit. If you have chain vaping moments, you can switch to 0 nic, so you don't get too much nicotine.

I never bothered with the math on mg/ml and mg of tar/nicotine. Hell, I couldn't even tell you what the levels were in my analogs because I never bothered to read the labels. I just bought a pack of the ones that satisfied me best and smoked'em until I needed more.

I do the same thing with my devices and the nicotine levels of my liquid. I found that 12mg/ml wasn't getting it done so I doubled it to 24. That did too much, so I backed down to 18mg and that's pretty much where I've been since then.

As with smoking, I snatch my Ego or Vamo device up and drag on that bad girl until the demon is satisfied. I keep a few bottles of 24mg strength liquid around for those really stressful times (work, kids acting out, wife under moon influence, etc).
