Well, my prodigy V1 is now useless, finally found the problem, faulty switch. I have had this for 8 months, 140 dollar purchase, and they cant carry a few switches for it? So I am done with PS. If anyone has extra parts and is interested in buyin my tube/endcaps, give me a pm, Ill send em off cheap. I have 2 901 adapters and an 801 adapter for it. $25 bucks for all of it.

I have had my Prodigy V1 since they came out. I still love it.

All you have to do is go to the PS site and open a ticket, send the faulty switch (switches) in and they will rebuild them for you. $1.00 for extended warranty + shipping is a cheap fix if you really like your Prodigy. I sent a bad switch in a couple of weeks ago and had it back in about a week.

I did open a ticket, and I did ask for repairs or a switch to be sent. Casey said they do not have any switches, and they wont be getting anymore. So, that is my beef, I have a 140 dollar device that I cannot get a switch for, and it isn't even a year old. Never said I didnt love it, cause obviously I do, but I am not going to spend another dime with PS unless it is for a switch. I don't care about warranty, I just want to buy a switch, and she said no can do.

That's my issue with them also. They don't carry part's anymore.
I'm irked to say the least.
And before someone says it.. no, don't want a V3 or Icon. I don't like bottom buttons at all.
Besides.. how long until the next model is rolled out and those are obsolete and useless also?
Won't buy anymore mod's from them honestly.

this is why i wont buy mods. they dont last. i dont understand why people will pay so much for somthing that wont last. i dont think a five year life span is an ureasonable expectation. for example, i bought a dvd player for 100 bucks 6 years ago, that has lots of buttons on it(lol) and it still works just fine. if it was only gonna last a year, i would never have got it.

Not exactly true. Ive had my silver bullet for over a year now and go through a 30ml bottle every 15 days or so (just to show you I use it a lot, not that im proud of being an addict lol). It works as well as the day I got it.

So yes, many of the cheaper or shotty produced mods die quickly, but not all. I would have quit this a long time ago if I had to switch between like 15 - 510 batts a day.

Just as a side note, I have two brand new, 5 volt tactical switches for the V1 sitting here which I'd be willing to part with for a reasonable price. Just PM me if you're interested. ;-)

I will take them, PM will be sent after I post this. At least now I will be able to use my V1 for a reasonable period of time before I spend another 150 on another device, I do not have that kind of cash laying around these days, so I thank you kindly..

No problem at all - glad to help. I 'stockpiled' these before I purchased the mechanical switch for my V1, but I'm pretty sure I won't be needing them anytime soon. I've sold my soul to variable voltage vaping with my Buzz, and there's apparently no turning back. ;-)

All of my mods work as great as the same day I bought them, even the ones I bought last Oct. And I've found they are cheaper to maintain (battery-wise).

When comparing them to my old cigarette habit, they really only need to last 2-4 weeks to completely pay for themselves.

You did not ask me about repairs. You asked about buying an entirely new switch. We can always repair them, as Puffin explained for $1.00 plus shipping. We just can't sell you a brand new separate one.

Not jump in but there are devices that will last a long time and I own several of them. I had an issue with my S6 510 cap from Super- T, I PM'd him about my issue. He said toss the cap and in two weeks he sent me a brand new one no charge. He doesn't even sell the S6 anymore so what does that say about his company. Damn good.

And knowing that I have been having problems with my Prodigy now for a couple weeks, after buying a new adapter and still having the problem, then finally figuring out what the problem is, you didnt think to mention that I could have the switch repaired? You just say, no more switches, sorry for your trouble? Had I known the switch was even repairable, I wouldn't have asked for a new one. Use your head Casey, I had a problem, YOU had the solution, but in my eyes, you would have rather sold me a new device than to suggest repairing the one I have. Common sense dictates that when I asked for a new switch, and you knew they were out of stock, you should , and could have told me I could have the old switch repaired.

I'm sorry for your trouble, HD. I just answer the emails as they come in, and I try to answer the questions that are sent in. The repair option has been up on the website for some time, and I'm sorry if you didn't see them, and that I didn't mention them. I shouldn't have assumed that you knew about our repair services.
