If he treated you that way, he couldn't have really been that close of a friend. And if he is the best friend you have, then I feel bad for you. A true and intelligent friend would not be afraid to have an in-depth discussion of this with you, even in his house. True friends put friendship and compassion first, not home-ownership turf ultimatems. True friends can agree to disagree on certain issues. True friends don't go off the deep end if their feelings are hurt by something you might have said. A true friend would talk the issue out with you. So if he is your true friend, then he must not be a very intelligent or compassionate person to begin with.
