Is it just me or does the ecig make your tongue and mouth fell like you ate something tangy or hot no matter what flavor juice you use?

After I open a new filter and vape a bit I can no longer taste the flavor but the more or less all taste like menthol to me even if I am vaping flavored juices.

Do you think I may be allergic to the type of juice I am using? How does one know when they order if it is PG VG or PEG?. Did I say those correctly?

I have juice from Best Ecig and a couple other places, various strengths from 24 down to low and after I vape a bit on any I get that burning sensation in my mouth and on my tongue.

Also, does vaping leave a bad taste in your mouth as though you smoked way to many anologs after a while?

The only time I have had similar issues is when the cart is too full and I get the liquid in my mouth. It's a horrible taste and it burns my lips/tongue. After vaping for a long period of time I tend to get a dry mouth feeling which is kind of similar to smoking too many analogues, but a little drink of water seems to resolve it (unlike analogues).

YES. I'm very new at this, too, but I have noticed that vaping makes my mouth feel as if I'd eaten kimchi -- not the taste but the "soreness."

This may be related, but I also feel I need to drink loads and loads more water than I usually do. Where I would usually have a mouthful, now I have two full glasses! I wonder if vaping is dehydrating, and if the "soreness" is dehydrated lips and tongue. Yeeech.

It's still better than analogs, though!

:D Actually none of the happenings you mentioned until you mentioned them :D

I guess what I'm trying to say is if I sit and concentrate on the sensation I experience after vaping, really concentrate I can feel a tingling on my tongue and a little on the lips.

That said, I think I'll now go back and vape without all that concentration ;)

Vaping is drying to the mouth and throat. PG is a humectant - meaning it draws moisture out of its surroundings (your mouth and throat) and into itself.....that's where the cloud you exhale comes from - water molecules surrounded by PG molecules.

The vape is also a bit harsher then tobacco smoke, as there are no additives. Tobacco puts chemicals in the cigs to make the smoke smoother and less irritating.

Continue to drink more water....your mouth and throat will adapt....it took me about 2 weeks to be completely comfortable with the drier vape.

The phosphoric acids in sodas can also clear the PG residue from your mouth and throat...I tried gargling with Pepsi when I started and that helped, too.

Stick with it - you'll adapt.

I don't have much trouble with harshness to the throat or mouth (except now and then from my 510 pass through), but I do agree with you concerning the flavors. They are quite distinct at first, but after topping off a couple of times, they all taste pretty much the same to me. I couldn't tell you right now if I'm puffing on my apple, cherry, or watermelon. And back to the harshness, any that I DO feel still isn't comparable to the dryness I was feeling after putting down 5 real cigs in an hour.
