I am going to order my first stuff today. So I get the KGO starter kit KGO 1100 mAh 2 battery kit from Hoosier; what else should I get? Any recommendations?
mlinky....I thinkk that's part of it, it's also just such a sleek and beautiful design. It feels better in my hands than any of the eGos I have.
sandybeach....looks like Brent at Hoosier's is now including 2 big bore cones in the package, or SLB (the maker of the KGO has added an extra), so now all you'll need (in my opinion), is drip tips and juice. For juice, I recommend purchasing from somewhere where you can get samples (of your choosing) and try to get juices all across the spectrum. Just because all the dessert ones might sound delicious doesn't mean you won't like fruity ones...or tobacco ones, etc. Try to get one of each animal in a sample size, and once you try them out, then you'll have a better idea of what else you'd like to try.
I never try my juices on attys anymore, I can never get the true taste, it always tastes burnt. I just drip it into a carto that has a similar family juice in it that's gettin dry and I feel like I can taste the juice pretty well with that method....but it's completely up to you. I'm sure lots of people would disagree with my method! Either way, best of luck to you on quitting (make sure you don't have any cigs around once you get your vape stuff). First day might be ehhh, next day will be better and by the third day you'll realize you much rather vape something deliciously flavored than a yucky cigarette!

The cartos are definitively a good way to taste the true flavor of a juice. But direct dripping gives me a quick answer too. I use a normal resistance atty first. No burnt flavor. After a while I try it with a LR atty and adjust the dripping accordingly.
I can't seem to use attys for anything, other than with my V-Mod which saturates it pretty good. The run of the mill attys that come with eGos and the KGO just always seem to burn off a horrible taste, even after using tips found here on how to burn it off it just never seems to work out for me. Any juice I drop in there tastes completely different and has that horrible metallic/chemical type of taste to it. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I've tried the 2-3 drops and then tried even more to see if maybe it just wasn't burning the juice enough but I can't seem to get use out of these. They'll probably go up in the classifieds with some other stuff I don't use pretty soon.
Kandarv, you have any tips for me concerning the attys? I know some people just use an atty with a drip tip, but I can't understand why anybody would do that (esp when they say only 2-3 drops at a time, when you can use a carto or clearo or tank)......
I'm a noob just as any other here, but here's my take on this matter.
You should check that you atomiser is not already 'burned' and by that I mean if you activated it dry for a long period of time, maybe the wick got burnt. How? that's a good question.
I would clean the atomiser first. Then add two or three drops of my favorite juice on it and vape it on a fresh battery. If you're still tasting that awful metallic-burnt taste, you probably need another atomiser or just vape it more till that taste is gone.
Now regarding my dripping, I usualy drip on the UltraMax, that RES work wonders and I don't have to worry about dripping the atty too often. Before the UltraMax and still now and then, I vape with DCCartos on the DCT Tank.

Most all drip tips fit the KGO, because most are meant for a 510, which is what the KGO is. I'd suggest getting a couple acrylic, and a couple stainless steel or aluminum to see what you like best. Prices range for the same ones anywhere from 1.99 to 5.99, so shop around for the best prices....
And YES! You did good! I have CE-2 tips which I purchased on my first purchase and haven't found much use for them, I prefer drip tips but you might like the small size and rubbery plastic/soft feel.
I have accumulated probably 20 drip tips in under a month...tomorrow is my 1 mo anniversary of switching from smoking to vaping!!!
Also, his Cookies N Cream juice is yummy, haven't tried the others from him, but I do have a Caramel Cream from elsewhere that's delish. Since you bought the menthol, I'd add a tobacco flavored juice to your cart when juice shopping next to mix with, but you might like the menthol on it's own. Personally, for tobacco flavors I like the Dekang USA Mix and Royal from juicyvapor.com
Just out of curiousity which color did you get? I initially bought the set in titanium which I LOVE! It's a really nice champagne gold color, and today I purchased the chrome battery and cone from Brent. I just love my KGOs...probably wont be the last time I add one to the mix.

Atty is the atomizer, which is what actually heats up to create the vapor. They use a seperate cart, or cartridge that holds the juice. Cartos, or cartomizers have the atomizer built into the cartridge, therefore not good for dripping, but a lot of people use drip tips on them because of the ease of refilling the carto, just pop it off and fill it, rather than trying to get the rubber stopper off. Just my

It all depends on how heavy of a smoker you were, some told me to get 36mgs, but not all vendors have it and I found 24 to be fine, especially since I had that KGO in my mouth almost constantly!!!!
