Wondering if anyone can give me some advice....here's whats going on:

I'm vaping on a black silver bullet (which I so love) and I'm using some new LR atomizers that I got from TW. They work great for awhile but they are getting clogged fast when I use some of my darker colored juice. I bought a bunch of different juices from viking vapor and the dark colored ones (coffee, chocolate and mocha) are making my atts clog up within a day or two. I have tried cleaning them by rinsing and dry burning them but I blew 2 atts that way. The 2 I didn't dry burn (just rinsed and blew out and let dry overnight) stay clogged.

The one atomizer that I used only a clear juice (same company) flavered cola, still works great after 3 or 4 weeks of vaping.

Can anyone offer me some advice? I love the flavor of those dark colored juices but I cant afford a new att everyday to use them.

I use Espresso all day, yes it will clog an atty though mine last much longer then a day,
usually at least a week. Then I stick them a jar with some effervent or polident and let it sit for a day, shake it around a bit once in a while. Rinse them out well with just water and let it dry overnight.
I can get another week or sometimes 2 out of an atty doing this.
I'm using joye attys ,

So, denture cleaner? hmm....I'll have to try that. Thank you for the advice.

Lulu, the SB uses a normal 510 atomizer so I would think that cartomizers would be available. I've never tried one. Whats the difference between those and a regular atomizer?

Carto's are considered disposable but can be refilled multiple times. They are a 1 piece atomizer/cartridge. You can by a five pack of blanks for < $10 for the juices that you are having a problem with. I just started using them and I love them!

I vape dark juices because they are so darned good but they are very very hard on atomizers. I switched to 510 Cartomizers for that very reason I can get a cartomizer to last as long as an atomizer with the dark juices which could be 1 day to a week or so. Make sense cost wise too. I just can't give up my dark juice ( manufacturer withheld to avoid public beheading LOL)

Dry burning is probably the only way to get that dark juice off of the coil in the atty. Demulta has a awesome video, but I'm just too scared to do it how he does it. He's got balls, that's all I can say about that. Here's the video:

YouTube - Cleaning a Low Resistance 510 Atomizer

I love my LR atty's, I only lost one due to my own negligence... I let it soak in isopro for 2 days by accident. I forgot it was in there.

Are you using the LR atties at 3.7? They do get pretty hot and will burn juice, carbonizing up the atty. That stuff is hard to clean by any method.

Yes I'm using the LR atts with 3.7v

My atties tend to last me about 6 weeks on a SB at 3.7v. Or 6 minutes on a SB at 6v. I don't soak my atties in anything unless I think they're dead and I've got nothing to lose. A couple of times a week I blow them out at both ends and do a 5-10 second dry burn.

My real trick to keeping them clean (even after thick, dark juices) I picked up from another ecf member, whose name I can't recall.

Every day, I vape a few drops of a DIY juice containing 10% vodka. This does a wonderful job of cleaning the atty while I vape.

My current favourite "cleaning" recipe is:

30% orange extract (grocery store)
10% peppermint/mint extract (grocery store)
10% vodka
30% pg
20% vg

Nicotine level is irrelevant. This also works for me just adding the 10% vodka to pre-mixed juices, though for every drop of vodka I add 2 drops of VG as the vodka will really thin out an all-PG juice to the point where I'm not dripping, I'm pouring.

I am so sorry you are having this problem!

This whole vaping experience is really a learning curve isn't it?

I am at about 7 wks and do so love the dark juices. What has worked for me is just to soak in boiling water till it cools, blow out water and dry overnight.

Still using the original 2 I received with my eGo

Thanks taxicat. I've been vaping the same 2 happy vaper eGo attys too, alternately for 3 weeks. At night I clean an atty I've been using by dry vaping it for 11 seconds. I have a manual battery and it cuts out automatically when too hot. I don't blow out because I've never seen excess liquid. However, I want to try the dark liquids and will soak in boiling water 'til cool, blow out and dry overnight (also, I clean out my carts and re-stuff with poly). I don't use nicotine... so I don't have sticky stuff in the attys or have to dispose of them. Well I'm off to buy more flavourings :D
