Dry burning is probably the only way to get that dark juice off of the coil in the atty. Demulta has a awesome video, but I'm just too scared to do it how he does it. He's got balls, that's all I can say about that. Here's the video:

YouTube - Cleaning a Low Resistance 510 Atomizer

I love my LR atty's, I only lost one due to my own negligence... I let it soak in isopro for 2 days by accident. I forgot it was in there.

IMO that is a bad way to dry clean an atty. There's too much juice to burn before the coil actually starts to glow. Rinse the atomizer under hot tap water first, then proceed with highping's atty resurrection method as described here on ECF.

After trying virtually all the common atty cleaning techniques, I've come to the determination that no cleaning at all is my best bet. I do try to avoid the very dark juices, but other than that, I just keep my atty's plugging along until they will no longer produce a satisfactory vape. Then I buy new ones. Most of my attys have had at least a 2 month life span, if not longer. I strive to buy them when I find a good deal, and don't sweat the rest of it. It's not worth the frustration, IMO.

I have differed between dry burning and boiling to clean my atties. Mainly I give mine a quick rinse from hot water from a coffee machine spout at work every 2 weeks or so. I just put it in a cup, shake it a little then dumb it out after about 3 minutes or whenever I can get back to it as I am serving customers around that time also. I do it once more then blow anything out that I can into a paper towel. I let it sit and drain till my next break and put some juice on it and vape it till it dries. I haven't had this problem so far as most of my juices are light in color. I do have a red bull flavor that gives me some of this problem, but the boiling rinse clears it up usually. Then again I only use red bull every now and then.

Hi all, I so new I don't know nuttin. First I've heard about dark juice causing a problem with aty's. FreedomSmokeUSA throwed in a 3mL of Wyatt Earp Blend with my last order from them. I like the taste fine. But, question is will it kill my aty? I've only 3mL of it, is that enough to do it?

Thanks for the info.

Here is the link for that method, it worked very well for me (M401). Not sure if it is applicable for LR attys, but give it a try on one of the gone ones - its a 5 minutes work...

Also as an addition, in case no power comes to the atty after the burnout, try to lift the inside contact of the atty with a sharp pin or something like it - the high temperature causes the inside contact to go deeper and looses contact with the battery end.

I have a little thread on here that I am keeping track concerning how long my LR attys stay functional...I bought a 5-pack from TW and so far two died, and using my third one now....It has been less then one month since I bought them, so for me, these LR attys have lasted about 7-10 days a piece...I use mostly VG juice, so I know that is a factor with these attys...Going to see and will report my final report after I use up them all up...
Enjoy.
