After 11 years of vaping, I'm over my shiny-itis. I had a slight relapse last year when I tried tanks. I don't like them. So I'm back to my Cubis and iStick 60Ws. Unfortunately, my Cubis collection is dying off from old age.

This is what I'm looking for:
3ml (preferably bigger) -- I'll vape one flavor for a few days in a row so I don't want to refill often. But, if I have to, I'll buy 2ml tanks.
No rebuildables -- I tried it and I'm incompetent. I'll have to stock up on coils. (My favorites tend to be about 1.0 ohms, but I'm okay with as low as 0.2)
Lots of coils currently in stock so I can buy a bunch.

Edit: I'm a mouth-to-lung vaper.

That's about it -- just something basic. Any suggestions?

(It's off topic here, but I probably need a few more mods that use a single 18650 battery. Anything more is too heavy for my hand.)

Thanks in advance.

The Innokin 4mL, full-size, Zenith tank would meet every requirement you have. They're currently available in SS for an amazingly low Clearance price of just $8.70 + S/H from this US vendor below!

Innokin Zenith Tank – Artisan Vapor & CBD

They're top-fill, with a simple twist-to-open mechanism that reveals the oval fill hole. Replacing a coil is easy-peasy, too...since it's not threaded. Lots of coils for them are in stock from the vendor below, in Florida, for $6.10/box. They have them in a variety of ohms...including 0.5ohm (more than $6.10 though), 0.8ohm and 1.6ohm are $6.10/box. That vendor has Free S/H with a $75 order or more.

Innokin Zenith Replacement Coil - 5PK - You'll need to register for an account to see the prices and to place an order. They sell to regular buyers, too, not just wholesale to vape shops.

Many of us who vape flavored eliquids get between about 11-14 days from a coil. Some people who vape unflavored get as long as a month or more from a coil. I run about 10-12mLs of my DIY flavored eliquid through mine each day. The flavor and vapor is great with them, IMO, and they've been leakfree and as tough as nails since I started using them in 2018. They're my all-time favorite tanks that I definitely stocked up on for the longterm.

My votes go to either the Zenith or Zlide by Innokin. Well built MTL tanks, easy to fill and the coils are good and can last a very long time if you vape clearer juices.

After many happy years of using Nautilus Minis I switched to these and don't regret it.

If you want probably about the smallest and lightest 18650 mod on the market that I know of that will take tanks up to a 25mm diameter, go for the Swag 2.

You'll have to get it as a kit at the following place with the NRG PE tank, but you can just discard the tank or sell it here on the ECF classifieds. It won't be much good for you as an MTL vaper IMHO. Use coupon code ECM10 for 10% off if you never bought from them before.

Vaporesso Swag 2 Mod Kit

However, do realize that the reason for it's light weight is because it's a plastic mod. If you don't like that, then I would pass. Go for the Innokin Kroma-R mod instead. Built like a tank. Still small, but twice the weight of the Swag 2.

EDITED: TO CORRECT KROMA-Z to KROMA-R

Thanks, everyone. I'll check out all of these (except the Kroma-Z. I own 3 or 4 pods systems, all of which I hate. When stocking up for the apocalypse is not a good time to cross one's fingers and hope this one is different.)

Last night I did notice that the Coolfire Mini and the Z50 come with Zennith and Zlide tanks respectively. Those could solve both problems together.

Thanks, again. (Off to youtube to watch some videos)

I think he mighta meant just the Kroma mod, not pod.

OOOOOPS! I'm so sorry, I meant to say the Kroma-R mod. Not the Kroma-Z

    Yup

Last year I bought a couple Innokin Zenith tanks and many boxes of coils for my stash.

It's a fine tank + excellent flavor. Easy to maintain and fill. IIRC during my testing the coils lasted me a good 3 weeks with flavored DIY. There are a few folks here who run flavorless with the Zenith and get at least a month on a coil.

Mine are strictly for backup in case I am unable to build at some point down the road.

Good luck with whatever route you choose. :)

Oooh. Pretty. Back on the spreadsheet. :)

The Kroma is a nice device with its fire bar rather than the more usual button and it's shaped to fit the hand well. It works excellently - it's not a lightweight though and the s/s one (which I have) is a fingerprint magnet, if you bother about such things.

The Lost Vape Grus is also worth considering - to me it has just a slight edge over the Kroma ( I prefer its screw in battery door ) - again not a lightweight but another well made quality mod.

Enjoy whatever you end up choosing!

The good thing about vaping for function rather than a hobby is that my needs are "not heavy enough to stress the wonky muscle in my hand and low maintenance". I love pretty but not if I have to sacrifice either of those.

The last time pretty came first was when I bought my Chuck and Chuck Mini in early 2010. Simply gorgeous. Unfortunately, the technology has passed them by. To use anything but a basic atomizer in them, I'd have to stack adapters so, everything else stops working, they shall remain artwork.

    Zlide 24 mm.

Don't forget to get extra coils when the going is still good. I like the 1.6Ω and 0.8Ω ones.
Thanks. I tend to like high-ish Ω ones too.

I just ordered a Coolfire Mini with a Zenith D22 and a Coolfire Z50 with a Zlide because they use the same coils. I paid a few extra $ for priority mail so I'll have time to try them. If I like them (and I assume I will), I'll get more & stock up on coils at the same time.

If I can figure out the difference between a Zenith Pro, MTL and D22 and a regular Zlide and a MTL one, I'll grab some extra tanks, too. I haven't bought any equipment in 11 months so I was due anyway but now I'll buy double what I would have.
(Juice is easier. I was down to 1mg. I'll go nic-free. That keeps for years so I can buy a ton.)

Can't go wrong with the 1.6Ω. I love them.

Can't go wrong with Innokin mods either. They are releasing wonderful mods, pods, tanks and coils. I personally prefer the larger (24mm diameter) tanks because they don't have to refilled so often.

I replied to your Zenith questions on the other thread, but functionally, there's no difference between the 4.5 ml Zeniths and Zlides. I'm partial to Zlides.

If you have any more questions, fire away.

Also, watch Phil Busardo's YouTube videos and tutorials. He takes all of them apart and explains everything. He designed them, with Dimitri, and they did a great job!

The Coolfire Mini is a nice mod - light small reliable and compact but depending on how much you vape it may not last you the whole day without a recharge - I use them when I'm travelling, keep two on the go and charge them in the car off of the USB socket.

Many kits now on sale come with a rubbish tank - the Innokins don't and the Coolfire Mini is a bargain and a great way to get good components with a discount ( said the Scotsman!)

I was fully prepared to buy separate components. I would have bought a few more Cubises (I have dozens of coils) but they no longer exist.

I have a few mods with external batteries that are in good shape. I would have loved a few more (because, no matter how insane my government gets, they're not going to outlaw 18650 batteries) but weight is a big factor for me.

Both the CoolFire mods I'm getting in this round look like the iStick 30W which were perfect for me. And everyone seems to love the tanks so, unless I hate them, I can stock up for the apocalypse and be done.

I check out the videos on everything before I buy them. With these, I also made sure to check reviews that aren't from the designer. Even positive reviews sometimes include "and my favorite thing is X" and I think "X is something I absolutely don't want".

Now that I own some, I'll download the most helpful videos and keep them in the folder with the manual. It's very useful when I drag out an old piece of equipment & can't remember some of the details or quirks.

One of my favorite things about Phil's reviews has always been that he stuck things on a scale but he doesn't seem to do that any longer.

I'll be happy to weigh my tanks if you want to know the weight--a bit later tonight OK?
