I'm new to all this - Definitely Info Overload!

Hi, just introducing myself with my list of burning questions!!!

Been smoking for 30 years - wow, just typing that is a shocker! Over the years have tried to quit soooo many times! Have tried the patch, hypnosis (2X), Zero Smoke - magnetic thingy, cold turkey - that lasted about 3 hours, counting cigs.......

Started researching ECigs in earnest on Saturday. Next thing I knew, I was sitting at the computer in the dark! There is so much info out there. Thanks to all the seasoned folks here and elsewhere that got me on the right path - I think!

Anyhoo, been making my own smokes for 2 years using pipe tobacco. Normal smokes were Marlboro ultra light 100's. Smoke 1 1/2 - 2 packs/day.

So, here's what I've done so far - Ordered EGo-T starter kit, 1 extra atomizer, 4 15ml. bottles of juice at 12mg.

My questions:

1. USA vs. non-USA juice - quality, etc. Just leary of unknown additives from China
2. Additional supplied - any and all advice appreciated
3. Expected life of equipment - I've seen life expectancy of batteries, attys, etc. from 1 month to 3 months... Trying to figure out actual cost. How long - with proper care - should the "hardware" last?

This is coming from a 5 hour noobie to vaping, but I bought the Joye eGo starter kit and a low resistance atomizer and have fallen in love with it already. Haven't had a reg cig since it arrived. Expected battery time is 6 hours. I haven't tested this yet tho. And I'm using cartriges with 18mg nic lvl. Coming off a pack a day for the past year habbit. was a smoker for 3 years, hoping to say I quit today with this. I'm in canada, so I'm not sure listing off a bunch of canadian suppliers will help, but for 200 canadian I got my starter kit, the lr atty and some juice to keep me going for the month. In 2 months I've made my money back at a 80 bucks every 2 week habbit. I really like the low resistance atty and wish I bought about 4 of them. oh well, next paycheque will be an atty order

Hi, thanks for the info. I just went to YouTube and found some really good vids on the Ego-T. Mostly positive, one pretty negative.

I'm getting really psyched - telling friends that I'm really going to quit smoking!

Welcome aboard. You may find your jucie is to weak. If it is, next time you order, get some 18 and 24.

Nice. The ego batts has many configs you can use. I'm sure you have already read into it. Be prepared to start vaping and hate cigarettes soon after. I can't stand cigarettes. I remember having to buy a pack a week after I started vaping I had to throw it out. Keep a roll of paper towel where you vape the most lol. I know I have one in the car and by my bed since I drip so I dont need to go running for paper towels when I get a leak or just blowing out excess juice. Have fun with it and good luck with the ego-T.

Where did you order the kit? I think you're better off to get pv's from pv vendors and juice from juice vendors. I'd order a box of Boge 2.0 cartomizers in case you have issues with the tank. It's good to have a backup.

I made my own with pipe tobacco as well except I smoked menthol. My mom used the regular pipe tobacco and she likes Backwoods Brew Virginia and Casablanca 18 mg. nicotine

I've heard that Vapor Station Tampa is exactly like a Marlboro lite in the 16-18 mg.

Thanks for the advise. I was wondering if I should maybe try higher. Luckily, didn't get that much juice. My problem now is I've been looking at all the great juices out there and want to order.

Patience, patience... Hard to wait until I get my equipment and test it all out before I order more juice!

I ordered from altsmoke.com. I've got the RYO down! With the pipe tobacco, I chop it up in a mini food processor, can get a pack of smokes done in about 15 minutes.

Hi, I'm pretty new at this too, I quit analogs on Friday. I've got a Joye 510 and I love it. Vaping is working for me, sometimes I chain vape, usually in the morning. So far, I got Dekang juice which I really like, and a sampler pack from another ejuice supplier, which tastes like soap, but it's 24mg so I mix it with glycering I found at Walmart. I hope I helped a little.

I have bags of tobacco around and about 5-6 boxes of tubes. I bought a top-o-matic machine on ebay. I was a rolling fool!

I will never roll another one. Just opening the bag of tobacco, when the smell hits me I literally gag. I'm serious. I rolled a bunch for a friend the other day. I might roll what I have around and give it to homeless people. It's just sitting here getting stale and I'll never use it. I hope.
