well im new to vaping i have been vaping for about a month now and im having problems with my atomizers i have a joye 510 i have gone thru 3 atomizers its seems like i have to buy a new one every week wich is getting kind of expensive 8-10 bucks plus shipping can someone tell me whats going on i have tried to clean them but once i do they dont work as good as they use to i have 2 that are barely working and one of them completely died yesterday my method of cleaning them was to blown on them and let them drain over night and i have boild one of them to remove some burnt threads in them any help would be appreciated so whats going on with my atomizers and how can i fix them or at least get them to work decent?

1. Removing the wick will render the atomizer useless if you are a cartridge user. The wick is what gets the juice from the cartridge to the coil. If you end up removing the wick, you must drip with that atomizer.
2. Soaking will not remove much of the gunk that builds up on the coil. Your best method of attack will be a dry burn.
3. By completely died, do you mean it does not fire when you put it on a battery? The best way to tell if the coil is truly broken is to use a multimeter.
4. If you are going through an atty a week on a 510, you might want to figure out why. This is not the norm for most 510 users. My guess is that you've either: a) are dripping and flooding the atty b) using really poor quality juice c) have a battery that is shorting them out d) have bad luck.

you said something about removing burned threads.. describe that to me. Also, describe the problem; do they still get hot when you turn them on? have you tried dripping with them?

well thanks you for responding to my post um well i dont drip and as for the dead atomizer i removed the bridge on it but it still heats up but when i drip on it i just suck up the e juice i driped on it how can i check to see if the battery is casuing my attys to fail so quickly and what brand of e juic edo you recomend me buying i only have to e juice bottles one of them is from ecigbestsave.com and the other one is from elixirliquid.com
well i removed the burnt threads with a needle i just moved them a bit until i can pluck them out with soem tweezers they do get hot its just they dont porduce enough vapor and the draw on them is getting harder but with less vapor and no i have not dripped with them but i have been using the lipton tea bag mod
The bridge of the atty and the fibers that are underneath the bridge are what causes the juice to wick into the atty (they make it so that the atty can suck up the juice from your cart).
If you remove the bridge or the wicking fibers from under it then you can ONLY drip with those atomizers because they won't be able to suck the juice up from your cart - causing them to run dry and burn out, and if they don't burn out they at least won't produce vapor.
Try dripping and see if they work that way. Just drip a couple of drops of juice into the center of the atty and put on an EMPTY cart (with no filler). If the atty is still functioning you should be able to get about 10 puffs that way before needing to drip more juice in.

no, but it will make it so that no vapor will come out and the atty will pretend to be dead. You need to blow the juice out into a paper towel and then put a couple drops (no more than a couple!) back in just to make the wick moist and then try again.
A flooded or over-dripped-in atty will not immediately die. But it does lead to shorter atomizer life spans. When you have an excess amount of juice in the atomizer, it heats up around the coil. You'll notice that the atomizer runs much hotter to the touch. This extra heat will shorten the lifespan of the atomizer significantly if you are constantly running it flooded.
I'm not using a joye 510 but an EGO.
I've been dripping on my EGO (with the bridge still on) for more than a month now and i notice that if you flood the atty it will really heat up and you could feel it even if the cone is on. I won't produce much vapor and the drag is really hard. But if you blow out the excess juice and put 2 or 3 drops again, the vapor production becomes normal. I have 3 attys which i rotate for different flavors and so far I'm haven't killed one. I use 70% isopropyl alcohol when cleaning them at least once every two weeks.
BTW I almost killed did kill one when I placed my EGO on my pocket and it fired by itself. Luckily the coil did not pop. But it tasted burnt so I just cleaned them with alcohol and the burnt taste was gone.
