One trick I learned in Cartomizer school was to use a needle (as in sewing needles) or a pin. It has always been helpful to me to just take a sharp needle and very gently poke right thru the filler going round and round just as in filling it with eliquid. It seems to very slightly fluff up the filler a bit, and it creates tiny channels so that the liquid can more substantially saturate the filler.

As far as carto priming for tanks goes, here's a post that might be helpful to you. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-filling-priming-carto-tanks.html#post8642193

Good luck, SuzyQ. Keep us posted. :)

Yippee!!! Good job, Suzy!

Plus one for IKV cartos. I'm enjoying his Diamond series and I must say that they last and last... and last! I normally fill them with NLV Twilite or Line Rider, and because that liquid is so clean and lite (and delish!), I find them fantastically kind to the cartos.

Happy Vapes~

Hi Kat,

Diamond series? I'm not familiar with those. I know his Platinum and fusion series. Also what is your setup? Mine is a Provari mini with Ikenvape mega fusion / Ibtank or Phiniac :)

Yeah, big Iken fan here and I'd not yet seen the Diamond Series either. Just now looked and there it is. Knowing Iken, they're good cartos. Next order I'll try some.

Glad you're getting your fog on, SuzyQ. Vaping can be frustrating sometimes.

JJ :)

IKV has a description of them on the website. They are basically a bottom coil carto and have a tighter draw than most others. I cannot explain the reason why they last so long, but they do. As I said, I do attribute a lot of that to using a good, light colored eliquid. But having said that, they outperform my Boges, and I'm a Boge fan.

You asked about my setup and I had to giggle in my thoughtful attempt to answer your question. I can only answer you with a question of my own... which setup? ;) I have many... or should I say MANY. Right now, I've got the IKV diamond carto on my Evic, covered with a black Ego cone, topped with a Cherry Vape universal, topped with a silver stiletto drip tip. I figured since the Evic is such a tall device, rather than trying to minimize it, I'd make it REALLY tall. It's very Eiffel Tower-esque now. Love it!

I've never tried a bottom coil carto.. But the more open draw of these are what I love most .. You think it's worth it to give it a shot? I wanna try everything! Please post pics of your set up or set ups.. I love vape porn!

The thing thats brutal about cartos is the juice you waste before finding out its a crap carto..i always used the condom method till it was soaked, but ive had plenty of bad cartos as well

Remember that liquid can be recovered from a bad carto with the Reverse Taryn Spin. This video has some fluff so fast forward to the 2 minute mark...
