As a newb, only been vaping about 4 weeks, I've found everyone on here extremely helpful and never once thought that anyone was pressuring me or making me feel "less of a person" because I didn't have this or that just straight honest opinion. Maybe that's where it comes in, we, as newbs, have to keep in mind that this is all opinion and we really have the final decision to make and all you vets are just here to give us a helping hand to figure it out but it's up to us to do the figuring.... Or maybe I'm just to new to realize I've been played :) thanks to you all for all of the help!!

I think there is a natural progression with e cigs and some people. I like to tinker and evolve. When I first started out with an overpriced, small battery, vapid and now whimpy IMHO sold locally I was perfectly happy. I then found the Internet world and eventually ECF.

Now I drip most of the time and use the best atomizer IMHO for me the i06 by Ikenvape with my Provari. Awesome throat hit with clouds of vapor.

For the ultimate tinkering experience try DIY e juice. Innumerable opinions and combinations and things to try. Enough to last it seems a lifetime.

I didn't mean to imply that everyone does it. It's just something I've come across from time to time. I'm quite happy with my setup so I don't take it to heart. Much of it has to do with delivery and perhaps folks don't realize how statements come across sometimes.
"This is my favorite", is much different from,"This is the best one out there".

People really don't know what they're going to want when they first start out. You certainly can't understand what a TH is until you take your first pull from whatever device you're using, and unless you're absolutely satisfied w/ the very first kit you got, then you're left w/ trial and error to which people generally tell you their own personal experiences w/ different products.

My experience in the last couple weeks has been that since I had to go 100% vg, I want to try different things. While I'm not completely dissatisfied w/ the Boge 2.0 LR that I have, I'm a little peeved at the fact that only 2 out of the 5 I purchased actually work - which is another thing that is hit or miss. Some people get packages where all of them work, and others get a 1 out of 5 ratio. I don't personally have a problem w/ filling them as the condom method works well, even w/ straight vg, but I want to try a tank for several different reasons even though I may get one that leaks AND I have to modify the carto that goes w/ it. I'm also going to be trying different cartos b/c dripping and using carts (w/ the pyramid tea bag method) just doesn't cut it for me. I hate constant work.

For some, vaping is like a hobby and if they have the money to try out dozens of different mods and whatnot, I like to see their experience w/ them b/c maybe somewhere down the road, I may want to try one. I'm looking forward to the tank I ordered, along w/ making my own flavors of vg and hopefully finding 1 or 2 things that work completely for me.

Thanks for the thread, Tamarahvt! I am new, still using my V4L 808's with no plans to change. I like the XL's and am looking at the mega cartos or tanks with cartos in them, but I like the slim style of the 808 batts. I don't like to fiddle or worry about it working too much, so I just purchase backups every other week or so. I like having the different colors and styles, and it fits my lifestyle and personality. I get enough nic and th and I am happy. The most important thing about vaping is finding something that works so that we can get off analogs for good!!!

They probably work fine, they're just not making contact. Wiggle the center post of the carto so that the post seats it's self properly on it's o-ring.
In the 11+ months that I have been using cartos I'm yet to get one that is actually DOA, but I have had to fiddle around with the center post on a bunch of them.

There's still so much I don't understand about volts and ohms, low resistance, bottom feeders, etc. I wish I had a degree in Electrical Engineering and maybe it would make more sense. When I first started reading this forum, my head was swimming! There was a ton of information and so many suggestions that I finally decided the only way to do it was one step at a time. No, I didn't start out with the Ferrari, but an upgrade may be in the distant future. Still, I've appreciated all the advice so generously offered, even if I didn't take all of it.

And e-juice? Makes me think of the cereal aisle at the grocery aisle. It's not just cornflakes anymore. Some juices I loved while others were like vaping perfume. Still it's fun to try new flavors and keeps this experience interesting!

So keep the suggestions coming. It's how we learn from other people's experience. Just bear in mind that we're all different and that's a good thing or we'd all be stuck eating Cocoa Crispies.

A forum that only had a list of things available for purchase without any input based on personal experience would not be very helpful to new vapers. Opinions based on actual experience is what makes this forum so valuable.

Read everything and make your own decisions. Trial and error is expensive. Veterans try to make it as cheap and painless for new vapers as possible.

This thread is just silly. Everyone knows that only a noob wouldn't like Boge carto's and any Vaper worth their salt is using a Variable Voltage device.

Obviously I'm kidding, and different things for different folks. You do have to keep in mind though that you hear so much good things about the Boge carto's because they do work so well for so many people. I'm going to agree with an earlier poster that if TH is your problem with them, you are probably trying to use the 3.0 carto's on a 3.7v device. The 2 ohm carto's work very well for 3.7v, but again, they are not for everyone.

Everyone has a different opinion, and you have to take to heart which are right for you. Information helps to make a more informed opinion on what you are doing, or buying. I have found most ECF users are very helpful, and I have learned a ton being here with them. I read multiple posts about a topic and then make my own choice of to do, or not, and that's the great thing a bout being my own person, it's my choice.
    Thanks every one.

I had horrible issues with tanks. Wicking problems, leaking, no flavor, and no TH. IMO a 2 ohm boge cartomizer on an ego is a huge improvement. I suggest them to people who complain about their tanks. If you like them then use them.

I started vaping with a LR 510 atomizer on an ego so the tank just never was good enough.

Maybe a few people went overboard just trying to help.

I completely agree with the OP. On more than one occasion I've seen posts by veterans telling new vapers, "Forget the _____ (insert your favorite 3.7 device), go right for the _____ (insert popular expensive VV mod) with _____ (favorite carto or atty) - you'll love it!" Statements like that are misleading, it implies that these devices are perfect for everyone. Vaping is a very personal thing, and everyone needs to find what THEY like.

My vaping journey began using a borrowed SmokeStick 808 auto while I waited for my first eGo kit to arrive. The same friend that loaned me the SmokeStick got me interested in the Lavatube. He didn't press the issue, he merely mentioned it and said he wanted one. Yes, I bought one and yes, I love it. However, I also love my eGo.

Now I feel that my quest for the right equipment FOR ME is complete. I do still have my first eGo which I use with LR cartos every day. I have my Lavatube with DCC tank for my all day vape. I also have a Leo with atty and cartridges, a 6v tube mod (basically a wooden SB), a small box mod that I built, and an e-pipe. I've been vaping for two months now. Yes, I also DIY my juices. But all of these were my choices. I never felt pressured to purchase any of these things.

So don't give in to pressure to feel as if you belong here. The fact that you have stopped smoking, or are trying to stop, is what should make you feel that you belong here. That is the one thing that everyone here has in common. That is the ONLY choice we should be encouraging.

Everyone is different and what works for one (or even many) may not work for others. While there is a lot of great advice to be found here, vaping is not necessarily a "one size fits all" situation. I ran right out and ordered the Boge cartos because so many suggested them and hate them. My tank cartridges give me a much more satisfying TH and I love the ease of use. Am I saying,"Oh, don't try the Boge cartos!"? Absolutely not because they clearly work for others but my point is that they don't work for me. I also keep seeing,"Tanks suck because they leak!". Again, I haven't had that issue and love my tanks.

I have really enjoyed this forum but it kinda puts me off to see the attitudes of, "Real vapers use _____", or,"Only silly n00bs like ______".

The more I read the more I am reminded of car discussions. Some love Fords while others swear by Chevys.

I drive a 5 year old, 4dr, Toyota Yaris. I love it. It's cheap, has great mileage and it gets me to exactly where I wanna be without all the bells and whistles. That's pretty much how I view vaping. If you want to drive a pimped out monster truck that is more than fine with me but please don't imply that I am somehow a lesser person because I prefer not to.

It just bothers me that new folks might miss out on something that works for them because others insist that it won't.

You've been vaping less than a month. Most people don't have leaking issues immediately.

The majority of people that use tanks have leak issues. To be honest, I've yet to read posts from more than a handful of people that are still using tanks at the 6 month point. Even the three month point.

If you watch closely at the video reviews, most of the glowing reviews come from people (who get them for free) who have been using them an hour, a day, maybe a week, tops.

If you don't have problems with them great. I hope no one does because the tank kits are expensive and who wants to waste money?

It should tell you something that the very same vendors that sold tanks when they first came out offered warranties. Now there are zero warranties on tanks and tank attys. I know because I was fortunate enough to get a tank and tank atty and was able to return them because mine were under warranty.

The best device/hardware on the market is what keeps YOU from smoking. Majority of us will only give suggestions but I've also seen the fanboys/fangirls get irate if their favorite PV doesn't get the love. Pfffttt...I use ones the "I" like and only make suggestions. Everyone out in vapeland has to experience difference stuff to see what works and what doesn't. Just because I don't like tanks doesn't mean that someone else won't...same goes with Boge. For me, the Boge are my favorite and tanks aren't but what works for each individual...works.

It is rare when I see this attitude from veterans on the forum. Most people on here are aware that it is different strokes for different folks. Often, I will recommend things for others that I may not use. And I will recommend things that I love, but I never use the words "Real vapors" or "Silly nOObs".

Arent we all using ecigs ? .. .meaning we are all kinda " REAL VAPERS " ... damit ... Use what works for you, take recommendations and make up your mind if you want to go that route or not ... its your hard earned cash and your the boss what you spending it on.

We all been "SILLY NOOBS" when we actually took a analog and got hooked on the bad habbit smelling like ashtrays each day.

My first ecig was to get off from analogs and I succeeded from day one, even tho the PV I bought was pure crap if I compare it with the gear I have nowdays.

My 2 cents put the bashers in your ignore list and let them rot in their "Pro vaping" world...

    Signing off, Silly Noob Vaper.
