Just seems to me they are overrated and not worth the money.

I have purchased a protank 2 v2 mini, t3s, and a genitank mini to try out as replacements for my iclear 16's and see why everyones always praising kanger. And so far i am not impressed.

The genitank leaks constantly onto my center pin (not excessive... but I have to wipe everytime I remove it and its annoying). The adjustable airflow is very tight and hard to rotate. There even seemed to be a few metal shavings I had to remove. Does not seem to be an easy thing to remove the airflow collar to do a proper cleaning. Also runs through more juice than any of my other dualcoils. I would have to refill 3-4 times a day.

The protank 2v2 is VERY inconsistant with its resistance. And that extra tall bottom section I believe is the cause. I put a 2.1ohm coil in it, and the resistance can be anywhere from 2.5-3.9 (even with it tightly seated)

T3s, which is also a single coil as the protank 2, but apparently needs a different coil from the protank2. I cleaned all my coils and went to reassemble. Apparently I mixed the T3S and PT2 coils up because when one was in the T3s, the bottom cap wouldnt seat all the way. Was very close, but had enough of a gap that it would leak. The one from the T3s would fit the PT2 on the other hand.

Each did have their pros.
Genitank- I loved the adjustable airflow. Resistance was spot on (+/- .1). Flavor and vapor lasts a long time before cleanings.
PT2- I liked the shape of the drip tip, disassembly was easy. Good airflow
T3s- Good flavor and vapor. Accidentally dropped it from counter height, no cracks/chips.

Now I understand the Geni was their budget line to compliment their aerotanks..... but the leaking is a big turnoff for me. I shouldnt have to clean up juice everytime I remove it, especially with having to refill it a couple times a day. And this makes me a little weary of spending more money for an aerotank if its going to be the same thing.
And they couldnt simplify their coils? a SBC should be able to mix and match. Instead one has an extra thread to make it unusable in another tank (yes, im aware of the coils=moneymaker arguement).
Maybe this makes me sound overly whiny. But so far i am very under impressed with the Kanger brand.

I have seen good things about the nautilus, maybe that will be my next tank to try.

I too hated the Kanger PT2's when I first got them. Had the same leaking problem that you're having. I tried replacing the flavor wicks with cotton yarn and while it helped, it didn't completely eliminate the problem. It was only when I started rebuilding the coils using cotton wick that I fell in love with them. I now have 7 PT2's and 3 minis.

If you're not so inclined to rebuild, the nautilus might be a good choice (I too have heard good things about them). If you decide to try rebuilding, I get my 30g wire here Resistance Wire If I remember correctly, shipping is free.

I have rebuilt my Halo Tritons (single coil 32ga), and I do have a magma clone with some 28ga and 30ga on the way. But for out and about was looking for a solid tank to use.

And the PT2 never leaked on me, was only the geni that did. Out the bottom, and pooled under the drip tip. But the PT2 mini comes with that bottom cap that is like 5/8" tall, and the inconsistent resistance is really offputting for me

Not whiney at all.
I had similar experiences with Kanger products.

Eigate Aspire clearos have served me well.
While on the small side to be sure, the Mini Vivi Nova fitted with either the BDC or BVC heads has proven an inexpensive foolproof functional combo for me. Grab and go certified.

Then of course the whole wide world of RBA's and RTA's but that's another forum (-:

I had leaking issues with Kanger, too.Switched to SmokTech BCC's (the Aro, PBC V1 and V2) and that was the end of my problem. The SmokTech Trophy is a little on the wonky side, but that's the fault of the tank, not the heads. I don't buy Kanger anything anymore; prefer to keep to one kind of head.

I prefer my BVC coils (Aspire Nautilus/Mini) to the Kangers, just less hassle for me and they last longer. I haven't had any issues with my Mini Protank 2 though, never had a resistance fluctuation like that with a non-dud coil head. The Kanger PT coils don't work in the T3s but the T3s coils work in the PT, if that makes sense.

Kanger T2 (like the Halo Triton tanks) are pretty great for plastic clearos, but I think you're looking for glass.

Try an Aspire that accepts BVC coils and see if that works for you, there are lots to choose from but most people will suggest the Nautilus Mini or the Aspire K1.

I've got two protank 2, not mini. At room temps, they both seep very slightly down onto the battery pin over the course of a tankfull. Wiping off the pin and cleaning the base where the coil seats is just something I do when I fill it and have come to accept it. However, now that the outside temps are below 0 celcius, going from the house to a cold car, both are leaking more during use. Weird but true. Otherwise I really like these tanks. The design is simple...easy to fill and clean. Parts are plentiful at every local shop. Except for the optional airflow control base... So....

I've been using a new genitank for a few days because of the airflow adjustment allows me to make the taste i want when using it on the istick battery. WIthout airflow... too ... hot for me. My gf is stuck on the PT2... doesn't want to change, doesn't care for the airflow thing. Until her PT2 leaked in her hand in the cold car today. ha! :D This genitank tends to weep a tiny drop of juice maybe once in a while in the cold when using it. out the side holes. So what... doesn't bother me. It can't leak on the battery down the center so I don't know how that was happening to the original poster... I don't think the design allows it.
New style kanger coils... goes through juice like my Jeep goes through gas. That's fine too... lots of vapour without a lot of huffing to make it happen.
There's a lot more threads on the bottom connector as compared to PT2... like.

I'm going to buy another one of this design in stainless. Sorry you didn't like it. Everyone has their own tastes. It's worth playing the field to see what else is out there.

My kanger protanks are the most reliable atty I got but I rebuild the coils so that improves my kanger experience enormously. Easiest way to rebuild a protank is to take a brand new head, remove the flavor wicks and the silica wicking leaving a naked coil. Pull off the swab off a Qtip, remove 1/3 of the cotton swab then twist the remaining 2/3 into the coil, trim with nail clippers, prime with juice, put all back together and enjoy.
I have recently discovered kayfun so my protanks aren't getting the miles they use to sitting on the shelf.

Personally, I've had a pretty good relationship with kanger clearos. T3, mt3s, pt1,pt3, mini pt3. No comments on their other products as I don't have then.

But I have to say that it takes some understanding of how the clearo works. Also, each clraro might have its own quirks (china qc). But once you have a basic understanding of the design, it should be easy to tailor your own coil to your preference..... Unless you are using the stick coils. That in my opinion is luck of the draw. You might get a head that can last for weeks, or you might get one that will last a couple of draws (wicks not sealing the gap or wicks not touching coil).

Edit : flavor wise, i can only say they're clearos, can't expect much. But doesn't bother me as I'm more into unflavored juice.

I use primarily Kanger and have really liked all of them except for the PT2, which I hated. Mind you I'm using 100% VG juice so mine is a lot thicker than what you're probably vaping. PT1's I still use, Aerotank mini is one of my favorite tanks. Still though, my favorite all time tank so far is the Aspire Nautilus mini. Don't do my own wicks.

loved my kanger glass evods! UNTIL they changed to the new coil units. I tried rebuilding my old dual coil units, it worked most of the time (awesome taste with my own cotton wicks!), checked with an ohm meter and everything. But the resistance kept changing EVERY time I refilled the unit, which I only figured out AFTER I burnt out my ego battery... ugh!

now on the search for a new glass clearomizer that either has consistent coil units or rebuildable coil units. I wish I could stick to rdas, but I like to vape while I drive and vaping with a mech while driving makes visibility nil. heh!
