I am really nervous about my new purchase! I am hopeful that this will help me quit smoking. I am a single mom of 2 kids and I want to become a healthier feeling and acting mom! I have already started chewing nicotine gum, which does help, but does not relieve my psychological cravings. When I need a 'mommy time-out' I go out in the garage and smoke. The garage is not a very soothing environment though considering that is where all the trash is kept until trash day!

I think you'll be really happy with your purchase.

Granted, there's always a risk when trying something new. Some love it. Some hate it. It's never truly the same as smoking analogs, but it's more of a replacement.

It's a new ritual that needs to be worked at.

I am almost 2 week into e-cigs, and they've changed my life. I've attempted to smoke a real cigarette a couple of times in the mornings, when my cravings are gnarliest. Every time, I've had to put it out. The taste was atrocious, and I couldn't bring myself to finish them.

E-cigs, for me, handled every spectrum of the addiction i.e. the oral fixation, the ritual of preparing to smoke, and the actual chemical enhancement.

I feel better. My fiance tells me that she loves that I don't smell like smoke (I can even vape with her in the car and she doesn't mind). I sleep better (less snoring).

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I've just found it smart to make sure you buy plenty of extra parts. I bought two starter kits, so I have 4 batteries in constant rotation, and 2 atomizers. It makes my fear of hardware failure less of a problem.

After you've had a little time with your e-cig, please come on and tell us how you like it. I always tell people "You never know. Someone like you might read your review and make the decision to get off the analogs."

Wanting to quit gives you a great shot at succeeding.

I had no intentions of quitting the analogs..yet within a few days I was a full time vapor, and going on 8 weeks now, still no analogs.
A few days ago I tried a puff of a darjum vanilla..omg not even a full puff and BLECH.

When I get around smokers,I THINK I want one,but that one puff reminded me I don't.
I'm ordering ecigs for those close to me who smoke as they are intrigued and I'm hoping if they become full time vapors, analogs will not be around to taunt me.(and I won't have to empty stinky ashtrays)

Ecigs are not perfect, you may get frustrated at times(some ecigs can be finicky lil snits),but once you adjust to the new routine,it's much easier to say goodbye to the analogs,if that's what you wish to do.

Just a quick share.. I get very little time for myself and I used to love my cigarette just to have 7 min to myself. The e-cig does not give you that since it does not hav a set time limit. There is no "I am going to sit down and HAVE A cigarette" anymore. I miss it a little... but I get a lot more done on a day now (except I spend all day on here posting.. so I waste a lot of time too...)

I actually didn't really think I'd quit with e-cigs. I mean, I had a little bit of hope that it could be a possibility but didn't get too excited.

Lo and behold, I have not smoked a SINGLE analog since the day my first e-cig arrived. It was THAT easy - at least for me - and I was an almost 2 pack a day smoker for 20 something years.

You'll be just fine. I'm excited FOR you! :D

Depending on what you ordered, you will be fine. I quit using chantix, only to start sneaking 5 months later. It has now been another 5 months since I had a real cig.. The e cig will help you very much, but you will have to learn how to smoke it. Be patient, and don't give up! They will work even if you have limited will power. I started with NJoy, no throat hit with the one I had, then switched to a DSE 901b, and have just switched to the Yeti. The Yeti is by far a step above the rest.

Good luck,

YES!

I've only been vaping for 4/5 days...and I love it! No withdrawl from the real thing. Breathing better. Smelling better. Feeling better. No down side.

But...

The "smoke break" is not the same. I didn't realize just how much I used cigarettes as a "timer".

My schedule is all screwed up. I had regular times during the day when I would always take a smoke break. Now I don't need to for the sake of having a smoke (cause I can do it in the office now), now it's just to get out of the office for that time. Now instead of going out for 2 smokes worth, I am constantly checking my watch to see how long I've been out of the office.

I need an e-cig with an alarm.

An alarm would be fantastic!! The timing thing is really ingrained in our lives and I am still getting used to it.

I too didn't think that I was going to quit when I ordered, but haven't had an analog since I got my ecig. I smoked 1 1/2 ppd for 30 years and I believe this is a miracle product for us. That being said, it does take patience to figure it all out and work out the glitches. It takes more time and organization in the beginning. You can't just run out of the house with your pack and a lighter. Need to have a small bag to carry the ecig, an extra battery and/or atomizer and juice. And batteries have to be charged. But it is worth all of the effort. My breathing improved quickly, I don't reek of an ashtray and enjoy vaping so much. Good luck with it and please let us know how you like it

definitely worked on my psychological addiction to inhaling & blowing smoke.

Yeah, That was what I was thanking. Plus , I would have the e-cig to hold. That would be a big help, I think . Have not ordered yet still reading and looking. Look's like I will be around a little while.DSE -901 is looking good from some of the reviews.
Anyway ,lol.

I have the PenStyle and 901(actually only ones that I have lol). Both are very good. Pen is bigger of course but has a longer battery and I can get a better hit. The 901 gives great hits too,for a smaller ecig. Depends on how you will be using it. You can get the usb pass through battery for both, and I strongly recommend that so you can start vaping away when you get it. I was so antsy waiting for the first charge to be done. Good luck

Hello, and welcome to e-smoking and the forums.

I have only been e-smoking for about 3 weeks now... and to tell you the truth, I was very frustrated with it at first. It is very different and takes a bit to get used to. I thought, ok, I will just use the ecig to cut out one or two of my "normal" cigarettes and work my way up from there. This seemed to work for the first couple of days, but I found myself panicking about when my next real cigarette would come.

I think this steamed from 1) not using the correct inhaling technique and 2) from expecting too much too fast. After a few days and watching a lot of videos (thanks leaford and the rest of you guys!!!), reading a lot of posts and just plain sitting down with my ecig did it finally hit me. I found out how to inhale properly (it is different than an analog cig) and it probably didn't hurt that I started using e-juice instead of the lame pre-filled carts.

I didn't even mentally tell myself, today is the day I quit analogs... it just happened. I started to prefer the ecig. It tasted better, it made me feel better, I didn't smell gross... everyone around me was very intrigued by it. It just all come together.

Although, I should confess. I did come down with a major head cold shortly after switching over and I couldn't taste a damn thing. I ended up going back to analogs just because I could at least taste them. They were gross, but at least I could taste them. I went through 4 1/2 packs in a week, which isn't bad considering I was a pack-a-dayer myself. Since this past Sunday, I have had only 3 real cigs... so I think I am finally back on track :)

Keep us informed of your progress. We'll all enjoy hearing from you.

Awesome, D. If this works for me and I reduce my snoring even a little, my girlfriend will be a happy woman and maybe I won't get kicked to the couch as often.

It's slowly but surely getting better.

I've had a head cold for the past week or so, but, before that, she would tell me that she didn't hear snore at all.

I'm looking forward to getting over everything and seeing if it's still better.
