Ok, so I received my regular autos on 3/5/10 and I got sick on 3/7 with a bad sinus infection. So I've only been vaping for a couple of days. This sucks :(

When I put in my order to my disappointment they didn't have any white to choose from so I got blue/silver...I told Mark/Valerie about the problem and she said that their was a website glitch and to just mention that in my next order and they would throw in 2 white regular autos...but after using them for a few days I realized I wasn't too impressed with the way the autos worked. (I know..I know I should of listened to everyone's opinion including Val's about the Autos  Do you think it would be possible to request 2 white regular manuals instead? Am I asking too much? I just don't want to get stuck with 4 reg autos...I hear about sticking toothpicks/plumbers tape in the autos, but I'm not sure if I want to go through all that every time I change the carto. Any advice? Or where do I go to figure out exactly how to mod my autos to make them work better..the holes are really tiny.....

I suspect there are more than a few folks (including myself) that just want to turn in these auto batts, but I will make every effort to make these usable with any available mods before asking for returns... Please consider what was said in some of the other threads; we are on the bleeding edge of new technology, and there are going to be hiccups.

I encourage everyone to really make the best of this and try not to incur too much additional expense to V4L; all the better to help them improve our products even faster!

I am sorry you are sick..that is really tough when you are trying to get used to vaping! Feel better fast!
When you make your next order..just note it in the message box that you had wanted the White batts but it was due to a glich that you couldn't order them and Val said to tell them about it. Please send 2 white batts (note the size) and tell them you want manual. These guys are wonderful..they will fix you up!
If you love the manual..you will order more in different sizes, so it's just good business to send them to you. batteries don't last forever..

Or send them back and request an exchange for two manuals. If they are not defective, keeping them and asking for two extra would be pushing it.
I totally understand that would be pushing it, just to clarify so you don't think I'm a selfish ....... :) I talked to Val about returning the original 2 reg auto batts, she was the one that told me don't worry about it, on your next order we will send you two white ones. My dilemma is that if I get them to send me 2 reg white batts; now I'm stuck with 4 reg auto batts that I'm not thrilled about. Does that make sense?, I hope I'm not coming off condescending, that is not my intention; I've got 4hrs of sleep last night because my throat was killing me and I couldn't breathe. :( I can't believe I get my yearly sinus infection in March and it happened to be the exact time I got my new kit :(

This really SUCKS!!!! :(:(:( It's been going on since Sunday, I've been on antibiotics (Augmentin XR) since Monday and it actually seems to be getting worse. Anyone have this happen to them when they first started vaping? My wife is worried that it was the vaping that triggered this sinus infection. I just want to get better and start vaping, I barely got to vape for 2 days before I got sick...:(

well 1st u say its a yearly sinus infection, then u ask if it can be from vaping, personally with the reasurch i did on e ciggs i dont think you can get ne cancer or any health problems, cause the vapor is basically like water boiling. (or atleast i think)

Just be honest with them in the comment section, that Val had told you to mention the mistake in your next order, but that you are thinking you would prefer manuals, would that be possible to switch? I am sure they would probably be fine with it, and if not will let you know. Or you could PM Val or Mark or Steve and ask them...

I have a sinus infection also, came on the tail end of H1N1, so I have not been a happy camper! feeling better now though, hope you are well soon too! ;)

I know what you are saying, I'm just worried that's all. My wife is freaking me out, I haven't been able to breathe for 3 days with average 3-4 hrs of sleep a night and waaaayyyy too much time on my hands researching stuff. I was just over in the medical section of the site and was worried that maybe it was a PG allergic reaction or something. I just want to get better so I can start vaping and get the hang of things, I was suppose to be flying the last 4 days and had to call in sick and then my vacation starts this weekend and I don't want to spend the first few days of my vacation sick on the couch :(

I will do that JenJen, if not; no big deal. I will give the 2 autos to a buddy of mine to try out and see what he thinks; he's a pack a day smoker and would love to see him quit.

for everyone that is sick, or has a sinus infection. Run, as fast as you can, to the nearest Health Food Store and buy any brand of Oil of Oregonal. Natures Antibiotic. Tastes horrible, works great. Just a few drops under your tongue, 1 or 2 a day, will kill what ails ya.

I will tell my wife to go get it tonight, right now I will try anything; especially if it's all natural and not filled with chemicals

There are many people I know at work and at home that have bad sinus infections these last two weeks, I finally caught it too and am sitting here snorting hot phlegm back into my head as we type, but have been vaping for over 4 months. I am the only one who vapes. This is definitely not caused by vaping, it's just another yearly thing that is sweeping the nation. Seems like it's been morphing for the last few months, and I was lucky enough to sneak by it twice already as this is the third time it's come through my own home. I actually considered vaping might have assisted the first few times being that there's a rat study mentioned here somewhere that suggests PG may guard the lungs against infection.

Is sinus infection viral or bacterial? I can never remember. Either way, it's viruses or bacteria that cause infection, not vaping. You could vape a gallon of juice today, and it won't give you an infection without bacteria or viruses to make it happen (you would get hella sick from the nicotine, but that's not an infection). And in regards to the antibiotic...

Bacterial infection vs. viral infection: What's the difference? - MayoClinic.com

Remember, all the vapor in the world won't give you an infection, unless there is bacteria present in the vapor. Since PG has antibacterial qualities, I doubt that's what happened, especially since the stuff is made in hyper-clean environments to begin with.

ETA: Mayo Clinic says most sinus infections are bacterial, so stay on that antibiotic, rest and hydrate, and feel better soon!

Outflying -You won't regret it. Just tell your wife to touch her nose with the tip of her tongue, immediately after putting the drops under the tongue. The trick is to not let any of it on TOP of the tongue where the taste buds are. Cuz it TASTES HORRIBLE. But I have used it successfully for several years, and have been able to avoid having to go to the Dr. and spend $ to get pharmaceuticals that probably won;t work anyways.
