Hi all,

I feel like I've been reading these forums and the internet for 24 hours a day trying to get all the info I need. I just bought my first ecig (njoy npro) and I love it. However, I would like to buy a second one and have narrowed it down to three choices... I hope someone can help me out...

1st - joye 510: I have read many, many, many, many good things about this model. But everything I have read is from over a year ago so I am not sure if this is the current, best choice for me.

2nd - joye ego: I have also been reading that this is the new standard, or has been for quite some time now. It also seems they have a high failure rate which obviously, I do not want :(

3rd - smok tech e-power at hoosier ecig (this is the one I'm leaning towards): This one seems to produce the most vapor of anyone I've seen, I'm guessing due to the dual coils? I believe it is also compatible with the 510 stuff and I believe I can put any flavor into it (I'm guessing that is the same with all ecigs though). And it has swappable parts, like the switch and batteries.

I don't know if I'm off the mark in my selections above, but my goals are: I want a massive vapor production, great throat hit, something that will not fail, and something that I can refill once and have it last for a few hours (not have to place drops in every time I take a puff).

I'm sorry for all of the questions, but the more I read on the internet, the more I get confused with looking into the countless ecigs, mods, legislation, watching video reviews... My head is swimming! Please help :(

Depends how much you want to vape. the 510's are great, but the batteries last about 2 hours. the ego type batteries last about 5-6 hours. I have both, and use 510 first, then eog as backup. I have tried carts, dripping, cartomizers. I prefer the cartomizers, the ceramic type ones. To get more vapour look at the lower resistance ones.

Based on what you think your choices should be compared to what your expectations are: smaller cig size device that will provide great throat hit with little need to add liquid - the PV you want does not exist. The absolute best throat hit comes from better battery PV's such as a good 5 volt or variable volt PV. You can use a small 3.7 volt PV with low resistence attys and get better throat hit than standard attys, but not as good as a higher power device. Plus the attys don't hold up as well. But that may be all you need. Since it doesn't appear you would want a MAP tank or juice feeder PV, you won't be able to meet your expectation of not needing to add liquid for a couple of hours.

Of the three you listed, the eGo (or Riva) 510 is much better than the other two alternatives but none of them will get you close to your expectations. You will need a better battery PV to get the closes to your expectations.

Thank you SO much for the replies :) The definitely clears up some things, at least a bit. So let me further explain what I'm looking for. I like the npro that I purchased from 7-11. I'm looking for something like that - that I can take out with me when I go out to a bar, or otherwise and not worry about having to fill while I'm out. I am fine with taking two of them with me. The npro I have, I can take a couple of cartridges wiht me, and usually one will last the whole night.

So I guess I'm looking for something like that, but with more vapor and a great throat hit. Is this scenario possible? Thanks again for your help. I'm so glad this forum exists! And vaping for that matter. Especially since my wife says it's either her or the cigarettes!

Also - If none of these will work for what I want, I am definitely open to other alternative that will come closer to what I'm looking for. I just want to make an educated decision before I drop the money for this. Thank you all so much again!

Sorry, one more thing. I really like the idea of being able to use my own flavors - like the ones at strictly ejuice. I haven't tried any other flavors, but am planning on buying some different ones from somewhere as soon as I find which cig I want. So I guess being able to use the liquids is definitely a must for me as well.

more vapor and more throat hit, sadly, do not go together. To get the best vapor, you need to use VG, which naturally dulls the throat hit. To get a stronger throat hit, you use PG, which is thinner and does not produce as much vapor. You can, however, do a mix of the two, so you get a good solid throat hit, and good vapor. But you will never have totally great vapor, and good hard throat hit. One has to give for the other. I would be willing to bet you can come up with a combo that gives you enough of each to satisfy though.

I have been on zero nic juice for almost a month now, so I don't get any throat hit at all anymore, but when I was still vaping nicotine, I used a 50/50 blend. I am not a big fan of the throat hit, and this worked pretty well for me. If you like a stronger throat hit, perhaps a 70/30 might be better for you.

Ahhhhh!!! Thank you for clearing that up! I should be receiving my order of e-liquid (unflavored) and PG. I assume that PG will produce the same amount of vapor as VG? Also, does it sound like I should go with the eGo / Riva 510 to closest match my needs?

Thank you again!

The eGo / Riva is a great starting point or even the eGo-T to lessen the amout of refilling.

as far as the PG/VG question

No they are not the same, PG gives you more TH / flavor - but less vapor

VG gives you more vapor but less TH / flavor

I use a 40pg / 60vg mix but this is subjective you can try different %'s of PG/VG till you get the one that is good for you.

I use a 70pg/30vg blend or around there

Good idea to go with the Ego. That 3rd choice sounded like too experimental for a first ecig. Ego is a great base - 510 threading has the MOST stuff available for it. The most attys, the most cartomizers, etc. And with Ego you can use both the standard resistance and the hotter low resistance parts.

Thank you to everyone! I think I might have decided on what I will be getting but would like to post it here to see if this is a good deal/choice:

Joye eGo-Maniac e cigarette Starter Kit

I think from what everyone has said, this is the model I should go with tha twill most closely match what I am looking for. And from other posts, I have read that this is a good company to deal with.

Thanks again all! :)

Re FreedomSmokeUSA - first try code aprilfresh and see if the 24% sale on flavored juices is still on

Buy some juice with your kit but it may be harsh 100% PG. Regardless, you want some juice to arrive with your kit.

Then - wow so many places

BackwoodsBrew.net - great for finding all-day vapes. Not strong flavors, nothing overdone. Both of my first all day vapes came from BWB (Casablanca and Vanilla Bean)

FreedomSmokeUSA - lotta tobacco flavors. I (and others) like the Desert Ship, a nutty and somewhat pungent Turkish Blend and everybody says it smells like a freshly opened pack of cigs. They have so many other tobaccos. Many of their juices (but not all) are available as 24mg samples with fixed PG/VG. Their Cocoa is almost bitter and I use it to smack down too-sweet tobaccos and add body. And they have tons of other flavors. I find some of their juices a bit weak-flavored but I've found a lot I enjoy. Voodoo is interesting - a mystery flavor with something fruity and something dark - everyone tastes something different.

Velvet Vapors has configurable samples (individually or a group of 5) - I love their Vanilla ALmond Tobacco (mostly a rich vanilla) and their Raspberry Gingerale (they also have plain Ginger ale)

Gourmet Vapor has some crazy stuff since many flavors are user-created, and a Flavor Creator where you can make your own flavor mixtures (a crapshoot if you have no idea of the relative strength of the various flavorings, and a minimum of 10% is too much for some flavors, but I have fun with it. a lot of fun. I hope they have a sale soon)

Juicy Vapor - some nice stuff. Their Butter Rum Caramel is very good. Someone else said all of their chocolates are very good.

Tasty Vapor - no samples but worth trying. Well-liked

Ordered! Now I just need to find a good place for some juice and I think I will be all set! Thanks to everyone who asisted with this and had patience with me :)

Good Prophets also carries all VG juice. I've tried the RY4 and the Cherry Cigar (both good) and massive vapor production.

Wow.. Thank you all for the info. I can also confirm that the aprilfresh code at freedomsmokeusa still works. I just ordered about 7 samples.

Also, I just received my first bottles (1x PG and 1x unflavored) - I dripped/refilled the cartos on the carto's I have and didn't make a dent in the bottle... I don't see how I will ever go through this first bottle much less the 7 I just ordered! :p

Thanks again for all of the help everyone :)
