You can also try some Stovetop coils, you really can't have wicking issues as you just kinda stuff it in there.
here is some 24ga kanthal stovetop

and a .5 ohm Clapton stovetop. Both give excellent flavor and vapor. I also like 26ga dual stovetops.

I'm no master coil builder, so I won't even offer advice on a build or how to wick it. But, if you started out vaping to quit smoking, then remember that was the end goal. I've certainly gone through the stuff you're describing. In fact very recently.... so I will share it just as an example.

For months I was frustrated by dry hits and scorching juice with my Lemo. I was thoroughly convinced that it was my wicking jobs. then for a while I thought it was that my mod wasn't regulating power correctly.....and was biting the dust. Then, I discovered by putting my Lemo on another mod that it wasn't getting an accurate resistance reading. Turns out that I had a loose 510 pin on the Lemo. You would've thought I would have discovered that a long time ago.......but I wasn't ever getting serious resistance changes on the istick. Once I fixed that ....bam! No more dry hits, lots of vapour production, and resolved a lot of issues that I would've thought were totally unrelated.

I doubt any of that solves your build questions. But, hang in there...and the problem will shake loose. In the meantime, if you started vaping to quit smoking and you are still able to stay off cigs, then you are in the winning category. Relax and enjoy the vape.

I do understand though.....when you're in the middle of these issues it's pretty frustrating. It really does help to buy a good clearomizer that doesn't require good building to get a good vape. I recently bought a $10 Eleaf GS Air for this reason. It's an excellent vape, with no hassle and no building. I can consistently pop that tank on anything and vape away when my rebuildable stuff is giving me a fit. I highly recommend even though you didn't ask.

oh my laaawwddd, i would botch that lol. might be worth a try though. do all these crazy builds really differ from regular wraps? I've seen youtube vids of people doing crazy builds and seen their vapor production and wasn't impressed, and seen this guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhf0CTtAgf4 lol nothing special, putting out MASSIVE clouds

How come I can't do that? lol I'm pretty sure my set up is "better" too if not as good.

Again, running skyline amerivape / troll rda. the one i posted in my pics though is on my tugboat v2. I just ordered a doge and the rda from CCI with all those holes

The regular stovetops are super easy to build, I wrap them in my fingertips. The thing i love about the Stovetop is the surface area is spread out flat and the airflow hits the entire coil. Gives amazing flavor. I have built so many Micro coils and I always go back to the stovetop.
you can try it out but it might just be me..

I would not bother with that build at all..
I am running a regulated iPV3 box at 60 watts with that stovetop and this is the result

Yeah Joseph, I had a standard .45 ohm dual macro coil nd could chuck clouds with the best of them. Not the best but close. There are other factors that hinder performance. Ask them to try theirs out. Take your drip tip off yours, put it on theirs so you don't have to worry about germ so to speak and see if you get the same results as them. Having the biggest and best looking cloud is not going to give you super powers fyi..;). Watch some Rip Trippers on cloud chasing......that could help.

Sweet, thanks. I haven't been on to see all the replies. I figured it out I actually tried the 5 wraps before I read this. I don't seem to be having wicking issues anymore, the problem was the tugboat I have didnt have enough airholes, and the royal wires was just getting too hot for that little amount of airflow. So in reality I wasn't having any issues at all, I was doing everything to the T. I popped on a more open rda (troll mod) with bigger / more holes, and it's chuckin huge clouds and producing great flavor.

I'm just putting this out there, cause I can't stop myself. Try the freakshow. Cheap, authentic, tons and tons of airflow. You'll have to do center post builds but I love that little RDA. Try it!

Disclaimer: I have no vested interest in WOTOFO or the freakshow, I just like to spread the good word.
