Hey. I'm like, stuck on my PV choice. Call me crazy, but I'm trying to decide between blu and the 510. I was originally going to buy a 510, but the transaction didn't go through. So, I consider this a second chance. Blu seems great because of the nifty packaging, and the huge value. 510 seems great, well, just because it is. Which would you recommend, trying to be unbiased, in terms of just picking it up off the table and puffing a few, putting it back down, and in terms of fast shipping (Blu vs. cignot) I'm literally stuck on engaging my next move. Please help. (EDIT: I'm a little bit on blu's side, for the closest PCC shape to a real pack, and all it includes for the price. The thing that draws me back, however is the terrible reviews.)

I can't vouch for a Blu, but I do use a Volcano and like it. Also use a Magma and a Joye 510, so I have the equivalence of both the Blu and a 510. I use both and like both. They are different, they work differently, and both have a little different learning curve. There are more options for the 510 and the 510 has a much better battery life. The Blue/Volcano takes a little more effort to get the full value out of it. To be happy with it, you have to mod the carts and you have to have a good portable charging option or a handfull of batteries.

As far as how long they last, I haven't lost any Volcano parts yet and I've been using them over three months. The only Joye part I've lost was a battery that had an unfortunate run in with a washing machine, definitely not a hardware problem, a glitch with the owner.

If you mean how long you can vape with each, I'd guess that the standard 510 will go about twice as long as the Blu/Volcano, but that really depends on how you use it and can vary a lot.

If I was starting over, I'd probably want to start with the 510 as most would probably have less problems learning on it, but down the road, I'd still consider the Blu/Volcano/L88B.

So, to start of, I'd go with the 510 just because you will have a better chance of being successful and will be able to get more support here (a lot more 510 users here than L88B users), but I'd keep my eyes open. Later you may want something that works a little differently, and it may not be the Blu, maybe a KR808-D or some box mod. It's a learning experience and the only way to start is to just jump in.

Seriously? u don't need to mod 510 carts, i found after trying all the mods the regular cart filler worked the best/easiest. and after all the mods i tried w/ 510 carts i went to dripping.. way better. And everyone else says cartomizers are the way to go. Seriously 510 vs blu is like mainstream big name vs local rinky dink... everything uses 510, 901, 808 yada yada. y? cuz 510 rocks. vapor is awesome. I use 510 attys on everything, their tough as nails. Blu seems like a finicky off brand as so i've heard

My uncle and I started off on a Blu. I chose the Blu for the same reasons you listed..neat packaging, pcc almost to the same size as a regular pack of cigs, etc. We used 'em for about a week and ordered a 510 . The Blu just didn't satisfy me when I vaped it. The 510 is a much better pv. Much more vapor, throat hit and all. Also, it's much more consistent. With the Blu, I would get about 3-4 good pulls and then it just went blah. Hardly any vapor/flavor and NO th. (And yeah, I pulled off the foil, even ptb'd the carts in an effort to improve it.) Yes, you need to go ahead and get a pcc with the 510 but I think it was only about $20 difference between the kits. And well worth it in my opinion. My Uncle had the same results. He actually has pretty much gone back to analogs altogether. He likes the 510 much better but the battery life of the 510 is a real problem for him since he is CONSTANTLY vaping it and killing batteries.
Anyway, with the Blu, I'd never have been able to completely quit and probably would've given up also. The 510 is much better in my experience but to be hosest, I'd skip it too and go with an Ego or something similar. (Cignot put one in the mail for me yesterday along with some tasty sounding juices and a pack of ptb'd carts! :w00t: :vapor:)

I had the Blu but it was so terrible I shipped it back for a refund. You cant get more than 2 or 3 mediocre puffs with very low vapor....then nothing. Ive seen this same complaint from so many people. The juice holder is to small for more than 2 or 3 puffs, tiny parts. Seems to be selling on image only. It seems to waste what little juice the cart holds too, about 3/4 will be left in the cart, yet still no vapor.
Go with the 510!

Yes, the Magma is a Volcano product too. It's a 510 with a little different (better, bigger) cart. That is my go to device most of the time. If I had to stick with just one PV, it'd probably be my Magma because of all the different options. It works with regular 510 attys, so you can use whistle tips if you want, it works with 510 cartomizers too. I use the HighPing cart mod on my carts and fill my own, but I do also keep a couple of factory carts as backups too. The cherry ones are very good.

Volcano is a good company to deal with. Great shipping and their forums are very informative and friendly. I've never had to deal with returning anything broken or DOA, but from what I've read on the forums its usually no hassle as long as you remember they are in Hawaii and there's a 6 hour or so difference in time.
