If I were seeing this for the first time I would be pretty confused myself. This is the waiting room thread for pdib's making mods. We maxed out the first thread (15,000+ posts) and kids couldn't behave on the new refresh thread so it was closed for a retry.
It would be nice to see a cool title for the thread once more and useful links in the first post.

Okay I have been thinking Desert Ironwood and came across this..Ironwood is famous for being hard to work with though..so maybe not. lol

I've added that to the gallery as an example of final assembly and inspection.
Other than unexpected cracks and voids inside and out, it eats bits and blades and smells like a porta-potty when you sand it, Ironwood's not so bad. Works best used as a heavy blunt instrument for bludgeoning woodworkers.
Just my opinion, Peter might like working with the stuff.
