If it was a "normal" dibie I'd grab it but that combo is something only a leprechaun could love.

You could always send it to Mr. P for Richlite caps. Price is pretty high to have to rework it after purchase though.

The way I see it is that a Dibie is for the long term and if it doesn't click it's not worth it. This one frankly only a mother would love (or perhaps a Bee)

Don't know what the guy who asked Peter to make that was vapin' but I want to try some

So, let's see here . . . . . where'm I at now . .. .

I went ahead and made all the internals/circuit mechanisms yesterday. Test fit, fired it up. Yay!

However:

1) it still needs a quick finish job. I might just oil this one, as it's stabilized, it's Gidgee*, and I kin'a want to explore the thing where this design maybe can afford to expand/contract a little (although my climate is gloriously steady in that way . .. . .. an opening for Greeks to offer testing services and get shot down).

2) My first attempt at a switch worked as expected (i.e. great); but I wasn't 100% pleased with the aesthetic. So, I'm exploring variations on the switch design to give it a dash more oomph. (it's still gonna be driven by what I want to see/vape, not what I think other folks want to see; so it's still going to be interesting to hear the reactions ) I've made good progress on that front today. Basically, I made something up (a sterling plug embedded in BeCu by way of a hole, a hammer, and some artful beatings) that proved successful for function ("can I make a thing like this?"); but that leaves giving it some aesthetic panache, and finding some creative method to do so.

So, I'm kin'a wondering when to present. I still need to load the juice bottle and actually vape it for a bit. It'd probably be smart for me to get a coat of finish on it before sharing pics (as that might have some effect on yer'all's impression). The switch is going to be a touchy subject anyway, so I'm not confident that I should present with the functional but incomplete version, or if I should make y'all wait until there's a final, pleasing version . . .. . . For my own purposes, I want to get this second switch installed, do a quick finishing, and juice it up and start vaping it. I guess I'll decide the presentation timing then. I'll go ahead and take the weekend to wrap this up and then hit the Run#9 work with all earnest efforts on Mon. morning.

*gidgee is very hard, very dense, quite oily. it would be one of the few candidates for alternative finishes (i.e. less intense) anyway

Utilitarian Trunker says function over form everytime. Only a few of my devices have 'proper' switches on them - most have a bendy spring, a carriage bolt....besides as long as it completes a circuit...

You can see why i am a popular guy in the New Members' forum! "That'll be alright, just whack a bolt and a magnet in there".
