Two simple questions about Dat:
1) How much room for 510 adjustment is in Dat? I have seen tubes interfere with adjustability of a Fat Daddy to a certain degree.
2) Does Dat still allow for any manner of 18650? Will there be issue with button tops, flat tops, or varying circumference?

Looks like everything will be a snug fit so I make no assumptions of any of the answers to the 2 questions.

I'm going to set it up to accommodate all atty 510 lengths. Meaning, I won't make the height too tight for longer stem atties. It'll come set up for easy adjustment (fingers only, no tools) in the 4.25-4.85mm range. And secondary (with a screwdriver) adjustments can be made for unusually short atty stems (although, I've personally never used one shorter than 4.25mm).

Any 18650. There would be issues with varying circumference if the battery was just stupid too big. Usually, my tube bore errs on the roomy side. The bottom half of the switch is a floating pin. It will drop down to seat on any battery length. The connection at the bottom of the tube is spring-tempered BeCu shaped to act as a spring. Trunker might have to reshape, maul, (squeeze together) that becu spring to accommodate his orbitronics.

I will say, that I've got an exposed BeCu strip running down the center of the mod (in contact with the battery). So on this one, THERE IS ONLY ONE CORRECT/SAFE BATTERY ORIENTATION! That being POSITIVE UP. Should there be any compromise of the battery's insulative jacket, the bottom "spring" can only be touching the same negative (ground, body) of the battery as the central strip might accidentally touch. One can face the becu strip with tape, one can check the battery jacket before installing; but still, the ONLY safe way to run this mod is with the isolated positive up and totally clear of that whole leg of the circuit.

everybody is different, from their pants to their motions. however, I'll say that I could not get that mod to autofire in any pocket (shirt, pants, front, back), any position. In fact, I resorted to pulling my pants tight against the mod in every conceivable direction. Then I just gave up and tried to fire the damn thing through the fabric of my pants. Couldn't do it. I can not get this mod to autofire.

maybe you'll have better luck, 'mini.

The visuals....

BTW... I didn't mean to sound like I thought it might autofire... just giving a reason for the recessed button idea .....

yeah, so when I ask if you wanna do some beta testing . . . .

I didn't see anything about Beta Testing... I want to beta test toooooooooo!!!!

The design is growing on me for sure. When you look at the group photo, it looks like a giant fancy lighter, and the efficiency of the design is way more apparent, it's sleeker:).

Also... it dawned on me how simple repair/parts replacement might be, plus, you can always put a silicone plug over the battery button if it's going in your purse, something that can't be done with a regular button:).

Does this have a fuse?

All jokes and silliness aside,..we have two camps here..Some that build as low as .015Ω,..I'm sure even lower,..and folks like me that on a rare occasion drop just under.40Ω and usually around .70Ω up to just under 1.0Ω..Voltage drop just isn't that big a deal but I have personally tested my Reo lpg with a .7Ω coil and got as little as a .004v drop..Mind you that was on a freshly charged Sony vct4 @ 4.2v.
Of course as the volts drop on the battery it's not going to hit as hard anyway no matter what the switch is made of..Even solid silver.

So we have two camps here..The artistic types like myself that just loves the aesthetics of the dibi mod,..and the folks that want high performance out of their mech mods,..so that they may quickly drain that battery enough to have two or even four charging at all times.

Peter is a tinker and a high performance one that dwells on these specs on a daily basis to improve his mod in any way he can come up with..That switch is pure PDIB..The Bee toils for us his followers and we do so appreciate him. I'm sure some here will like the switch as it progresses even if they do not like the idea of it now. Like another poster said,.."It grows on you". I doubt any external type switch outside of the ones already on the Sumpin's will bring pleasure to my eyes..but I'm just one of many who still haven't even held a Sumpin' in my hands..My opinion means nothing.

Knowing Peter though he will do his best to please all..so no worries..Sumpin's are a work in progress and I can tell you that even though I come around the thread on occasion and do not even post..I am a follower,..and have seen these mods turn into the works of art that they truly are...That's it from me the not so Sirius one until we meet again..Later all I'm out. :)

So hi guys .... about the new mod:
- the woodpecker
- the bee clicker
- the fart catcher
- the semi automatic
- dis or dat

(yes pick a name up there ...)

The points the Peter made about the switch are all beautiful, I like the whole simple efficient and HARD hitting aspect of it. The looks? it is growing on me that is why i didn't comment earlier, however i still think it just needs a cover ... something that makes it blend with the mod. You know how you see a mod an atty together and you know that the atty is "separate" from the mod (i.e. not hybrid), the switch here seems "separate" from the mod.

But Kudos to Peter, he is a crazy bee fo sho, and taking advice from us (the most annoying ECF members) deserves respect. Where is the amphibian, i'd like to see what he thinks ...
