I'm using 4 EGOs two 900s and two 1300.

I seem to think I need to start all my threads out with a little history. It seem pertinent to me for repliers to know how heavy a smoker I was. So I just copied that from my last thread. LOL

"I was a heavy smoker. I have seen people say they were heavy smokers here when they smoked maybe two packs a day. Not often have I seen someone on here mention that they smoked as much as I did. At least 2 1/2 per day on weekdays and 3 1/2 or more per day on weekends.

Sometimes people would say to me. "JR, you need to breath every once in a while" I would be taking one drag after another with no clean air in-between."

Anyway, about these PVs I'm using. Because of the bad experiences I had when I first started this. Burnt bad taste in particular. As I said above, when I smoked it was nothing for me to sit there and take a half dozen hits on a cigarette without taking a breath in between. You can't do that with a PV. At least not with the EGOs I have or the cig look alikes that I started with. So I have 4 EGOs going all the time. That way I can take one hit off one, put it down and take another hit off the next and so on, till I get it out of my system. Even then I can get them to the point where they start tasting a little burnt. So I also keep 4 cartomizers ready to replace the ones I am using. Put them in and while I am doing that I top the other ones off. Then they are ready to go for the next change. It seems that if I catch it early enough, topping the cart off and having it sit for a while when I'm using the other four, the slight burnt taste will go away.

This all seems a little excessive but I am afraid it I don't do it, I will go back to smoking.

I'm doing similar. I'm rotating 2 egos, and topping up constantly. I assume what is happening is that I'm vaping faster than the liquid can wick back down, and I end up with burnt filler, or a dry atty. I just got some fluval to try as a cartridge filler- so far, so good. It seems to wick longer before it goes dry, and is looking rather dry when I'm done.

I just ordered a couple of ego-Ts to try, hoping the tanks will keep me refilled for longer, with less fiddling around. I also noticed I was having lots of trouble while driving, because I couldn't refill my carts while driving.

I was terribly dissapointed in the -T type tanks. Carto Tanks gave me less issues.

I started at 11 to 12 for a nicotine level (depending on the company). Maybe If I had started a little higher I wouldn't be change vaping as much. I just figured that if I was going to do this, I was going to cut down on the nicotine as well. I have a notion that if I had started at a higher level of nicotine, I likely still would be vaping as much as I am now. Only I'd be feeding the nicotine habbit as well. I thought that as long as I was getting some nicotine, I could do it. Doing OK I guess.

If you are really flipping across 4 pvs that much, the carto tank previously mentioned or a bump in nic level might really help.

The body is normally pretty good at letting you know when you are getting enough nic.

When I first started I would really chain vape, turns out I needed 24mg, not 16.

If you just like to really vape a lot, no harm, but if not, I would try higher nic.

Yeah alot of us chain vape. I think folks have tried to increase their nic level to cut down on their vaping and it doesn't work. So you're at a good place.

Where are you from, if I may? I'm from Schuylkill county and live in western Berks now. They have some vaping meetups around York sometimes and there is a PA. forum on here to get to meet folks. If you go to the Pa. forum you might be able to find the brick and mortor stores scattered thruout Pa.

No wonder. That's low for a heavy smoker. Up the nicotine.

When I was vaping 12-18, I vaped too much. Increased it to 24 and that did the trick. I even had some 30 around for when I needed it.l

2 1/2 PAD and only 11 mg doesn't sound high enough. I smoked 1 PAD very strong Rez RYO and I started with 36 mg and have stepped it down to 20 mg. I would also consider upping the Nic. Think of all the Nic you were supplying your body when you were smoking. For the first little while you have to keep that Nic level up while vaping. I have a freind who's wife started on 36 mg while he started on 24 mg. She was vaping about 5 ml per day while he was vaping about 10 ml per day. We upped his Nic to 36 and his amount of usage dropped to 5 ml and he's no longer freaking out about the amount he's vaping. Unfortunately you're going to have to figure out your Nic needs but I believe it's a little too low. Might be a good idea to get 18 and/ or 24 mg.
    Good Luck, Vapoor.

Actually rethinking your problem it may have been a better idea to purchase a Mod in the beginning and that way you'd have a little more control over the vape IMHO.

Yup, but you don't know that until later on. Several hundred dollars later, I'll be getting some kind of mod or something. Really considering the 'ProVari' with a 'BigDaddy' tank on top of it. That should do it, don't you think?

I could not be happyer with my provari sir. With a chibi tank on top

I did take a look at those when you mentioned them before. They are much less money. Is there a catch? I usually believe in the rule 'you get what you pay for'. That is one reason I am looking at the 'ProVari'. Can you tell me a little about it so that I can understand why a so much less expensive one is OK? For example, I don't want to be dealing with leaks. I have seen reviews that the 'BigDaddy' is very good about not leaking?? Thanks

My first PV was a Megalodon and reasons I bought it:
I really wanted to quit smoking.
It's all mechanical and less prone to breakdowns.
A 2 in 1 PV wher I can take it apart and have a smaller stealth mode PV.
Wanted long battery life, lots of vapor and TH.
It's a workhorse and am very happy with it but it would be nice to have a VV Don
The Provari was a Bday gift and it is an amazing PV but I still use the Don more.
In regards to buying a Mod I believe we are on the verge of many cheaper Mods being released. They are now testing a Megalodon VV (variable volt). There's also the VV Lavatube that's just come out with most being very happy with it and a few not impressed. Here's a reputable ECF listed site that sells them for a reasonable price. Good Luck and I hope this helps, Vapoor.
P.S. Not pumping any particular brand.

They perform as well as more expensive tanks. You will have to learn to fiddle to get it filled . Well worth the learning curve to get them running smooth all the time. They will leak if you fill it by poping the grommet out instead of syringe. Or if you dont have a good seal on the grommets.

CaptJR, sounds like you may need to up your nic to 18mg. I chainvape even at 18mg but 24 is too high for me. I keep a bottle just in case a bad craving hits but that's all. You might consider a couple of tanks. Smoktech has come out with 2 different sized ones for roughly $12. The work just like the higher end tanks. They also fill very easily. smartvapes.com carries them.
