I am looking to upgrade from my 808 and I keep reading about a 510. Can someone please elaborate on what I should get and please pinpoint me to a site that is reasonably priced since I would have to buy everything all over again.

I was looking at this one

JOYE 510 Stainless Steel Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit

However I am not sure this is a good price or a good compay or whatever...

Thanks for all your help!

I like the 510 and didn't like the KR808D-1 but many others feel the opposite.
But while I'm not trying to discourage you from making that change, I do wonder if it will represent the upgrade you are looking for.

So I would like to ask what part of the electronic cigarette experience are you hoping to improve with your upgrade?

I would like for the battery to last longer.

I would like to not drip into my cart so much. I would like a cart that last for a little while.

I have great vapor so I assume I will keep that.

Well, what is it that you want to upgrade for? I mean, is it poor battery life? Because the 510 is going to have a shorter battery life than the kr808-d1.

If you want better battery life you'll want to upgrade to an eGo or the like.. something with 650 mah or greater.

Wow. The 510 battery is shorter than the 808? Well forget it then. That is one of my biggest struggles.

Ego or Riva might be right up your alley then. Bigger/better battery without going to an all-out "mod". The somewhat larger size is really not too much of an obstacle, as it took minimal adjusting to get used to the feel when I got mine (ego, and started with a 510). with a regular Carto or atty a single batt now lasts me all day. If I choose to use my 2.0ohm LR stuff then I get about 6 hrs or use 2 batts per day.

So you will definitely need a bigger battery.
The question is how big can you tolerate your battery to be.
:)

The next step up is the PigCig for your KR808D-1 cartomizers.
Or you could get an Ego/Riva/Tornado/Inferno model which also have some options for bigger cartomizers I believe.

Those are about the size of a smallish cigar.
And if you can handle even bigger than that, a whole new world opens up to you.

+++1 lol. If you can handle not having a cig sized ecig, you're really going to have some fun here. LOTS of diff ways to go.

My first kit was a KR808D-1, and when I felt it was time to expand my horizons I went with a Riva 510 kit from Liberty Flights (29.99 with the 20 percent discount) as well as an eGo passthrough, which can be detached from the usb cable and used as a regular eGo. Now I have the Tank atomizer and cartridges on order...haha. I also picked up 808 to 510 and 510 to 808 battery adapters, and a couple of drip tips. I almost exclusively drip on the eGo passthrough at home and it is great! Talk about never having to worry about the battery charge. I've never had a Riva battery run down on me while out and about, either; of course YMMV since I don't vape that heavily. Here's the link if you want to look around - and no, I don't work for them, I'm just a happy customer! :)

If you want to upgrade a 510 isn't the answer. The Infinity from notcig.com is a great little PV. It is very well priced, It is variable volt and it is a great little unit. I wished they would have been around when I started vaping. I could have saved a ton of money on Ego stuff and other mods. The customer service is second to none too.

I agree with the two options that DC gave you. The next step up for even better battery life and better throat hit would be either a 5 volt PV like the GLV2 from Great Lakes Vapor or a variable volt PV which is the "next" generation of PV's.

For eGo/Riva's I would check out Awsome Vapor or Liberty Flights.

Good suggestion by 5card!
