I haven't tested the coils yet. I do know that most of this hardware is very inconsistent. Quality control isn't the best in China. :)

What effect does long or short wicks have? The device I like best has short wicks but I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Funny you should ask. The only top coil clearomizer that has worked great for me, consistently, is the eGo CC. It has super short wicks and wicks great. Go figure.

Thank you so much...it's very thoughtful of you and I appreciate. Had a nose op and aside form it looking like a polish sausage I'm ok  Will have prolly go back for two more- one minor and the other kinda major.

I miss the ole gang to. I bumped into Katya last night by mistake and that was nice...you had a rough time? if you need a cigarette go right ahead. What mg are you using, how many ml per day and what PV?

You're very welcome and everyone here feels exactly the same...we're all in the same boat, just different rooms. If I had a magic wand you'd be first in line.

Saw your post in another thread...

When I'm watching TV in bed I use a "knucklehead"/ Swivel Drip Tip:
SMOKTECH KNUCKLEHEAD DRIP TIP $4.95
510/901 Swivel DT | Joye 510 | JoyeTech | Gentlemen's Reserve $6.99

Take care and hope I see you soon, Dan.

Thank-you so much for all your support! I hope your nose is recovered and that you at least made the most of the sympathy factor while walking about impersonating a Polish sausage!

Those knucklehead drip tips look perfect - I read in bed a lot so they would be very convenient.

I am mostly using 24 or 28 - usually have a 32 to 36 on standby for when needed and use it first thing in the morning - try to drop down to 18 in the evening if I'm reading in bed as I will vape like a chimney then.

I am finding the biggest shock and the most difficult thing to adjust to is that I had no idea how much I self-medicated with cigarettes particularly for pain. I have a chronic health condition that involves a lot of pain and fatigue and although I have known for some time that I was going to have to cut back my activities and work hours I had no idea that apparently the tobacco was the only thing actually keeping one foot in front of the other ... and if course considering those lifestyle adjustments is plenty depressing in itself and not exactly something I would have hoped to deal with at the same time as going off tobacco!!!

I am not doing too badly in terms of managing the transition (my weeks are now having about one or two smoke-free days and the rest about half one/day and half two/day with the occasional "bad day" of 3-4 every couple of weeks), and the St John's Wort plus the slower decrease seems to be keeping somewhat of a brake on the mood plunges I was getting from the loss of my 3999 other chemicals ...

The hardest things is not actually postponing the cigarettes, it is handling the stuff for which I was using my addiction as a crutch - forcing myself to exercise when I am sore (usually where at least one of my cigarettes will come in as I am all right once the endorphins start flowing but at the beginning when I am stiff and sore ... well let's just say that I was probably the only person in the world that used to chain-smoke 5 cigarettes during my warm-up! I thought it was just psyching myself up til the endorphins kicked in but apparently it had a pain control effect too!) and pulling myself together enough to drive home after teaching (when I really get hit with a lot of pain and fatigue once the "flow effect" of the teaching has ended). These are places that I use my 36 mg also but there is still the fact that it is absorbed more slowly so takes longer to feel the nicotine effects.

The other thing that I find is that despite the fact that I hang the darn thing around my neck, if I am doing things using my hands I tend to forget to use it sufficiently (I think because of the hands being busy - these are times I would have previously either parked a smoke in my mouth or at least been fumigating myself with second-hand smoke from the ashtray.) Again when I am suddenly hit with an overwhelming craving I have been quite successful in vaping and trying to wait a half-hour by which point I usually decide I can postpone a cigarette into the indefinite future - but by this point I am then usually hit with crashing waves of pain and fatigue with a frequency that didn't happen when my internal tobacco-addict genie was demanding I have a cigarette and controlling delivery with those deep inhales of the tobacco-deprived that speedily supercharge the nicotine-depleted system!

Anyways I am certainly having the opportunity to learn a lot about little-known intricacies of tobacco addiction! It's just there are also a lot of physical ups and downs for me because of this effect on top of the tobacco-related ups and downs ... yippee, I'm my own roller coaster ...

Thank you again for all your support - because of people like the you and the others on this thread I am trying very hard to pay it forward in terms of supporting someone else whenever I spend time on ECF, as I can now truly appreciate how helpful it is to have some encouragement when you need it!

She sleeps fine; she's just loud--sometimes. I think it's positional with her. Most of the time she's quiet when she's asleep, but when she isn't, God help us!

I'm well, Vapoor! Thanks!

Spartacus snores too - dogs have this devious trick of shaking the room like a freight train while looking so blissfully relaxed and content you don't have the heart to wake them up to make them change positions ... sort of like when they look so adorable on the bed or the couch while "running" in their sleep hard enough to kick you off ...

You're welcome and we're all here to help and support each other.. I have some ideas which I'll pm you tomorrow if it's ok?

Thank-you so much for all your support! I hope your nose is recovered and that you at least made the most of the sympathy factor while walking about impersonating a Polish sausage!
That's so very touching that you remembered. Thank you. I have 2 more ops to go- 1 minor and 1 major so time will tell.

7 years ago my wife broke her wrist and developed RSD Complex Regional Pain Syndrome Information Page: National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS)
1 yr of daily rehab, yr two rehab 3 times per week, extreme pain. First 8 months I had to apply her makeup and curl her hair. On oxycontin for 2 yrs. I really feel for you. I discovered an electronic unit that tricks/ trains the mind when chronic pain occurs. I would mail it to you but on occasion she still uses it. Rehab at the Hospital highly recommended it. It's called a Tens Unit.

The other thing that I find is that despite the fact that I hang the darn thing around my neck, if I am doing things using my hands I tend to forget to use it sufficiently (I think because of the hands being busy - these are times I would have previously either parked a smoke in my mouth or at least been fumigating myself with second-hand smoke from the ashtray.)
Some friends use an auto just for that reason- not all the time but they say sometimes it just feels more comfortable with the PV in their mouth.

I honestly think you're doing GREAT and you should be giving yourself credit for that. Understand that just because tobacco is legal doesn't make it any less addictive than other "thing". I counsel (have cut back my hours but still involved) alcoholics and addicts and generally the toughest habit they find dealing with is tobacco. It's not something off the street but a product that has been chemically manipulated by BT to addict as many as possible in the strongest of terms. We're all in this together and I believe it's important we all pull together. This may sound strange but I have learned much from your posts because they are honest and straight from the heart. We all appreciate and admire that. have to go to sleep now- slowing getting my life back in order from the sleep apnea re: nose job. Take care and I will pm you some ideas if you're ok with that.

My deepest sympathy to your wife - I got fibromyalgia after injuring my back & neck in a car accident so I can identify with the CRPS description and the shock of developing a life-changing condition from some stupid injury that one would expect to clear up and be done with. It is wonderful that you were so supportive of her.

That's an idea - I have been happy with the Twist & the Spinner and don't mind their size but it would really make life easier if I could regulate the new habit so that I don't forget to vape til I am really craving when my hands are occupied.

Yes it is certainly a surprise if you are learning something from me LOL! However I always did think that maybe if I couldn't set a good example I could serve as a warning ...

That would be wonderful if you could PM me when you get a chance - look forward to talking with you then. Have a good night and hope the sleep apnea is on is way out the door for you ... Yet another condition that can have a lot of impact on one's life! Pleasant dreams and please do convey my empathy to your wife for the pain she has to deal with (and pat yourself on the back for being a great & supportive husband for doing her makeup!)

But sometimes it is the silent sleeping dog farts that are the most deadly ... on the other hand at least Tosha is ensuring YOU don't sleep through the experience ...
True. Lucy, the dog on the left, used to drop the silent ones. I miss her but not that. :)

Good luck with the non-smoking. I didn't think of this forum as a support group when I joined but it really is.

I know same here, but it really is a support group which is so very helpful in the quitting process - I accidentally clicked on something that gave me a link to some stop smoking page that had this big notice about "no nicotine" - you must be off the patch and gum for 72 hours and if you have any relapse - one puff, one gum etc - you were kicked off the forum. I thought OMG what a mindset, if I ever tried to train a dog that way it would be a disaster!!!

I bet it is only a matter of time that ecigs and a supportive rather than judgemental forum outstrip the results of the cold-turkey-if-you-slip-you-are-evil in terms of percentage of ex-smokers who actually stay off them for good.

Hi everybody!! It is me, back from the dead, here to invite you to a most insane journey (Vincent Price voice lol). Volt is good, no doubt about it. Canvape is awesome, just sent them a $25 tip because their service kicks .... Have my pa hooked on The juices I'm using and a kit exactly like mine from canvape, and another order from SI, Incredibly happy in this vaping land. I don't know what else to say, maybe stuff. Stuff is great, don't forget about stuff now. That will be your downfall. My son will rule you all one day (he made me say that lol).
