'Why aren't we allowed to sell a less harmful product?' Imperial Tobacco wants into e-cigarette market
Imperial tobacco is lobbying the Canadian government about the rules for vaping, and announcing their intent to enter the market here. (I'm not sure if they're already doing vape stuff or not). I don't like the idea, really. Note that Canada is about to regulate vaping federally, and it seem like they are not going to take as ignorant an approach as the FDA is.
It's also interesting that Imperial's parent company, British American Tobacco just initiated a takeover of Reynolds today.
