Thank you for the detailed reply. I will certainly consider testing in smaller batches.
Small batch testers, save your inventory, prevent the heartache of dumping large quantities of unvapeable failures down the drain, or trying to salvage those "unvapeables" by doctoring. They also keep any aging requirements to a minimum (big batches can require more time).

vaping (especially DIY) is very personal, and one size rarely fits all. Remove some of the pressure, of getting a "great" recipe, by keeping them small until you get it the way you like it. Then you can mix bigger batches. :D

The site I use is Dashvapes a Canadian local company. Users upload their favorite recipes and its easy to use. However, you're limited to the users flavor concentrates etc.,
ELR recipes is a great site. Good calculator and useful tools. Flavor list is pretty extensive, lot of notes are included. Reddit flavor reviews are useful as well.

As of right now I have the Inawera Strawberry, coconut and double apple. I also have (Dashvapes brand) Bavarian Dream, RY4, French Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and Marshmellow. I also have East Coast by Flavoh, Cigar Passion, Dark Tobacoo and Oakwood.
The double apple will pair well with tobacco flavors. SB, coconut, and cream would be nice as well. I would encourage you to do the single flavor testers until you have more experience. Little tedious but valuable.

So true, keeping it simple with one, two, or three flavor mixes teaches you so much. I've actually been moving back to less complex recipes lately. Have a few more complex keepers but have discovered the simple mixes suit my palette better for day to day vaping.

I wholeheartedly agree! :thumbs:

Another use for SFTs, once one finds their "best" personal percentage, is for simple combining... to see how different flavors play together. By simply combining various SFTs, in varying ratios, one can quickly get ideas for future recipes. And... all without using any additional ingredients. Bonus!:D

UPDATE:
I wanted to update this thread since I experimented last night.

The recipe I tried was without nicotine (just for testing purposes) and made a 10ml bottle.

This was a recipe borrowed from an on-line Youtube video.

Inawera Strawberry Shisha : 0.60 ML/0.63 grams

Marshmallow Flavor liquid flavouring by Flavor Apprentice: 0.5 ml/0.05grams

VG: 560 ML/7.06 grams

PG: 3.75/3.89 grams

Surprisingly its not bad. I can taste the strawberry. I can’t taste the marshmallow. For my next tester batch I would like to eliminate the marshmallow and try to mimic what I have been trying to find, which is a true strawberry shisha flavor.

From the list below are there any tobacco flavor(s) you would recommend if so an approximation of how much to put in:

· East Coast by Flavor West;

· Cured Tobacco Flavoring by Flavorah;

· Cigar Passion by Flavour Art

· Oakwood by Flavour Art

· Tobacco Dark by Wrecka Concentrates

Thank you,
