HB 1432 is on the schedule to be read on the senate floor today, but I'm told Yoder will not call it yet since SB 539 hasn't made it out of committee in the house.

Also heard some senators and representatives are upset that the ATR is calling them out and honestly writing about their actions on attempting to setup a monopoly and shutdown small businesses across the state. Heard they are confused as to why ATR thinks that....ummm..maybe because they read the bills and not the summaries?

Oh, and they are upset about the flack they ate receiving from CASAA's call to action too.

It seriously seems like they are just upset that voters are upset with crappy bills and they cannot fathom why people are so mean to them....

Not sure what planet they come from where you jack people around, insult them, threaten them, and are then mystified that it pisses people off?

Well, we did contact them early on. Mostly about the tax bills. They were interested in helping to fight the taxes, so I was kinda' surprised when they came out on the bills that didn't include taxes swinging hard for our side.

I think people are starting to View e-Cigarettes as Viable Harm Reduction over smoking.

And that much of the purposed State Regulations are based on Unnecessary Fear and in many cases, Intentional Misinformation.

CASAA Call to Action Update - 03.23.15

HB 1432 (same as SB 539) is still moving toward a vote on the Senate floor and the bill is still written to gut the vapor industry in Indiana. Even if you have previously taken action on this issue, please take a moment to send an email and call your Indiana State Senator again and let them know that you want them to Oppose HB 1432.

(Writing Tip #1)If you have a lot to say, please craft your email in a separate word doc and then copy/paste it into the field provided. If you take too long, they system will time out and you will lose your work.
(Writing Tip #2) Although we've provided a prewritten email with compelling talking points, we would strongly encourage you to edit the email because personalized communications to legislators are far more persuasive than form letters. At a minimum, PLEASE INSERT YOUR PERSONAL STORY (just a few sentences) in the text of your email.

Please share this CASAA call to action with anyone you know in the state of Indiana! Ask them to help!

If we do not stop this here, it will be bad. Bad for Indiana. Then it will spread to other states. Everything may depend on what happens today...

I went to the Senate/House video and nothing. Are they on a break or just not holding sessions today. Here's the link incase anyone else wants to check.

Senate
Indiana General Assembly, 2015 Session

House
Indiana General Assembly, 2015 Session

States that receives MSA funds should be legally barred from creating/voting on this type of legislation for obvious reasons. The conflict of interest just screams corruption/prejudice. That conflict of interest should completely over ride any reason for introducing this type of legislation, real or perceived. Let the big dogs in Washington battle this out on behalf of the citizens of every state.

Ok, Yoder passed. Now what?

It means the fight goes on.

Now to see if it goes back to second reading and if it does, what amendments are added or subtracted.

If the house bill is pulled from the senate, the fight moves to the house.

There could be arm twisting behind closed doors and it was passed on third reading because a straw poll indicated not enough votes?

One thing is certain, Yoder is very upset there were signs there that looked like this:

Something about calling out his lies as lies was a smear campaign....these are weird people...

I'm going to be completely gray before the dust settles.

Maybe Norquist had more of an effect than we could have hoped for, maybe just enough to get the House and Senate members to stop and look at this bill more closely. I'd love to know that this bill is getting the serious attention it deserves from the very people who will be voting on it because my impression is that, so far, none of these senators actually understands nor cares what vaping is so therefore have had no serious desire to understand these bills.

Oh, I'm so glad you guys did that lol! I've been against the request to be polite from the beginning, I hold no tenderness for these bill authors at all whatsoever, so I'm glad to see someone created those posters speaking the truth. It's the truth that hurts not the person/people pointing the truth out. I'd like to see a poster quoting Yoder when he said he's not out to ruin the vaping industry from the very first hearing and then see a list of the actual results these bills would create across from his quote. The lying, from day one, has given me no desire to be polite.
