Rob still intends to offer doors. Honestly tho, they have to meet standards....and he won't know for a little while longer how many will be available this next go round. I'm sure he'll post an update in the next few days.

I'm PM'd Rob about buying doors without the pump window, and he said he was planning on making about 100 extra doors in various colors available within the next three weeks.

Never happened, I don't think he wants to sell doors by themselves, just buy another Grand or mini-more money made.

More like setting priorities when there is still more demand than supply for the mods. People "like" to change colors, but they "need" a reliable pv. Now, if you are done talking trash about someone you know nothing about, run along. *shoo*

I can tell you that while a small proffit may be made on his mods Robert is ALL ABOUT making sure his customers are well satisfied. NOT all about the all mighty dollar! Right now he has far more customer's and future customers wanting the mods than extra doors, so of course his priority is Mod production..First. He has a high expectation of quality control for anything he puts his name on. When he gets a batch of doors that meet his approval, he WILL have some for sell, I'm sure.

And my buying an extra door isn't gonna change my future purchase habits either way. I wouldn't buy another Grand just for a color swap, it will be either a Mini or a Woodvil of some sort. I think Rob's bigger problem with extra doors is time....or in his case....not enough of it.

I know for a fact he would love to sell doors by themselves. But right now its all about getting the whole mods out to the hundreds of people that are waiting on them. He needs every door he can get that meet his quality control to slap on a good mod and make another person very very happy.

This is not the first post I've read INSINUATING that making more money or keeping supply low and demand high are motives behind the production values of ReosMods.

I STRONGLY disagree with you -- a REO is a CUSTOM piece of work, a CUSTOM MOD and DEMAND is HIGH. Custom Wood, shucked by HAND, this he does himself. If he wanted to make "more money" he could easily hire a bunch of people to help manufacture -- but he hasn't. Hmmmmm.... strange behavior for someone who expects "more money" just from sales of Grands or Minis.

I still consider myself a newbie round these parts, and I am surprised that a ECF VETERAN like yourself would post a besmirching remark on a modmaker that has contributed so much to this community. Shame on you.

Anything worth having is worth waiting for... I waited and I'm glad I did.

Oh, and to the OP, sure enough Rob has his hands full with the demand for his OUTSTANDING Grands and Minis. But he did say that he would make doors down the road and I am sure he will because in my experience with ReosMods, he has been a man of his word.

Well keeping OT with OP's question when extra doors are available I would buy one, two maybe three. If it requires attaching a magnet so that polarity is correct no big deal. This is a well built quality Mod and well worth the wait for anybody looking to get one.

I can think of at least 5 different color doors that I'd like to use between mine and my wifes grands. Im pmed rob about it a few days ago and he seemed responsive and sounded like it was his intent to get some loose doors for sale soon.

Changing the doors IS fun.

Keep in mind too, anyone who doesn't know. If you wants extra doors for Woodvils they have to be requested before the Woodvil is made as each door is individually fitted to each Woodvil at time of creation.

What's the best way to remove magnets from door? any suggestions besides heat,freeze,nail polish remover,slapping on table? All these have been tried.
