I made several posts on this thread about my wicking problems with this tank. (Single coil user.)

I do TC builds and was getting partial dry hits which is totally bizarre for TC and should have been my first clue.

Problem:

I am wrong handed and wrong headed. I was wrapping and mounting the coil so that the lower leg was mounted to the negative post and partially obstructed that juice channel.

Solution:

Wrap the opposite direction so that the coil can be mounted so that the upper coil leg goes into to the negative post. No more channel restriction! I wicked it the same way I had tried a dozen times before and it is working through 3 tanks so far.

Should have posted a pic and it would the problem would have been obvious. I am posting this to maybe help someone else who is completely new to this type of build deck.

My apologies in that this tank is now tootle puffer approved in single coil mode and I may invite other tootle puffers to join the thread ;)
(I like slow, hot, dense MTL so maybe not exactly a tootle puffer.)

This tank is great and worth the effort to figure it out for a slow person like me!

Thanks for the guidance.
well done! Glad you figured it out. @Bella Chic, here's the person to talk to about rigging the MT for single coil.

Just when I didn't think the flavor could get any better from this tank, I bought some alien coils made by M.Terk at a local store (VV Vapes). WOW!! The flavor and vapor production....and the popping takes some getting used to. I literally am having trouble moving back to my Crown when I need to because it just does not compare. I'm tempted to shelf the crown for good, but I'm concerned with having an RTA all day when I can't service it if I have to at work (or having it leak if it falls on its side although it hasn't leaked yet). Thinking I'll get a Serpent as a back up and so I don't go through liquid so quickly.
I use my MT at work all day (on break time) & have no problems at all! Try it before you go get a sub! I know you'll be suprised!

Awesome! I have gone ahead and put it on the list of things to try and when I get it I'm sure to have plenty of questions in regards to rigging it for single coil. I'm a visual learner so pics would be super helpful but I'm pretty sure I just understand what he did and could replicate it and be good to go. Thank you for sharing that!

cool. The flavor is just awesome, even with high watt builds. Lower down it'll probably make your eyes water :)

I've been mainly using ready wires with the Sophia's for the past few years. When I bought the Sophia V2 and then the Calix I didn't need the ready wire NRN wire anti get with those so it's kinda a whole new world to me trying to figure out ohms with 30g kanthan and 28g kanthan. I just bought 28g Titanim and am waiting for it to get to me as well. It's just a whole new world to me like I said so I'm learning new things and trying wrap my head around it all lol.

Looked up those M. Terk coils! WOW! They're a work of art! Are they really $20 per pair?

Hey Bella, They work awesome in single coil mode! The coil mounting issue was just because I have never used this style of build deck before. The MT comes with a little plastic plug to put into the juice channel on the unused side. The only "mod" that you need in addition for single coil is to wad up a little piece of cotton and stick it into the unused air hole on the inside. The only reason to do this is so that chamber condensation doesn't come out and sticky bottom syndrome ensues.

(The pics I have seen of the MuTank have this fixed...The plastic plug also plugs the unused airhole. No idea if new batch MTs will have it or not. Easy enough to fix.)

Weird thing is 3 of my favorite single coil tanks are primarily for dual coil usage. (Goliath V2, MT, and Bellus.) Nice to have all the options we do nowadays. At least for the time being!
