Coil Porn! This is a 2 x 28/32 Fused Clapton build on the Mutation V4 base. 5/4wrap, 2.5mm for .273 ohms. I do not believe I can get enough watts on this build using a mech, not even a my 22650 Silver Dragon with the MNKE Orange batteries. I fear I shall have to break out Mr. Snow Wolf. :) I am presently bereft of a two-battery mech mod. I've built 4 or 5 of them, but people keep waving more money then they're worth at me, so I can't keep them (sigh).

Is 32 AWG SS Wire just simply SS Wire? I'm not in the know on SS Wire...

Artistic Wire Stainless Steel 32 gauge, 100 yards - Lima Beads
Hhhmmm... Yes and no. I would be leery of that as the label does not quote a grade of stainless from which the wire is drawn, and there being a great number of such grades, with 316 being the right answer for vape wire. Further, the larger photo says "permanently colored wire," which makes me wonder if it is maybe mild steel wire electroplated with stainless or something. So your answer is, if you can query them and get a solid answer that it is, in fact, solid 316 stainless wire, then yes, it's the right stuff. Otherwise, no.

I don't have an interest in SS wire, just came across it looking for something else.....

Has anyone used the Clapton prebuilt coils with the Mutank? I can't find many reviews or even mention of them. I know some have said that the prebuilts were junk but I didn't see where the claptons themselves were the coils used. Any info would be great, really hoping that they are atleast decent since I have 10 of them coming. I usually prefer rebuilding but do enjoy the convenience of plug and play occasionally.

I washed the Mutank with hot water and soap. That nasty went away, thank Thor!
But flavor still isn't great. Im sure I have coils placed at a good height above the airflow. I believe the problem is a have just a tiny tiny amount of too much wick stuffed in.
I'll rewick the beast later tonight. :)

At least that flavor went away, now you know for future reference to wash your stuff and you know what the crap tastes like.

The wicking on this rta isn't as simple as everyone makes it seem. You can wick it and sure it will work be getting it to keep up at high watts and not leak isn't the easiest thing to accomplish.

I've wicked it before and have been able to run it at 120 watts when done right. When I've messed up I've only been able to go to 80 watts because it couldn't keep up.

Hopefully you enjoy your rta. I loved that thing, it was a great tank
