On my post above there is a picture of the bottom of the vdeck showing the screw. (3rd picture)I'll take a photo of the base of the mutank as well here in a little bit
Ok, I see it. It looks like that screw goes through the VDeck base and up into a L-shaped piece supporting the positive post (presumably through an insulator.) Loosening that screw will probably loosen the positive post, I think. But it should be possible to remove the screw and set something under it-- spare o-ring, maybe-- and re-tighten it on top of that to lengthen the positive contact farther below the VDeck base. The screw appears to be a millimeter or two longer than it has to be, sticking up a bit above the L-shaped piece on the positive post.

Great idea!... and yeah i remember loosening that screw and it indeed loosens that L shaped piece. I have some extra o rings around Ill try putting one or two in the bottom of the vdeck where the screw threads in to lengthen that screw in hopes it reaches the 510 base pin better.

Thanks for the suggestion

Thinking again, an o-ring might be too mushy. It almost certainly has to be non conductive or isolated from the deck. Hhhmmm... Little piece of stiff plastic, maybe, worked into a small washer with a Dremel. Or maybe you can buy one; most Home Depots sell nylon washers in the specialty fasteners drawers, dunno if that small. Or Fat Daddy sells replacement Delrin tubes too, could slice a thin section off the end of one.

When I first got my Mutank, I took the stock coil out, and put the Rba deck in, and the positive pin in the base wasnt making contact with the rba pin, I had to take my finger and push the the pin in, on the base. You can look straight through the airflow holes on the base and see both pins touching or not touching.

Man this sucks. The VDeck I was sent will not fire. My Sigelei 150W is just saying check atomizer everytime like there is nothing there. Hopefully its something im doing thought maybe I screwed the flathead grub screws in too tight maybe it cut the kanthal in the post hole but I find that very unlikely. There is no metal touching metal whatsoever. Another thing it could be is something screwed up with the metal pin and that peek insulator piece on the bottom. It is sort of flimsy on the left side of deck if you look at the pics....View attachment 524506 View attachment 524507 View attachment 524508 the left post isnt one piece its two pieces sort of strange. I noticed when I took the deck out of the bubble mailer it had actually fallen out of the little black box it came in and was just moving about in the package(albeit still sealed in celaphane or whatever plastic). Possibly a sign of a bad things to come but hopefully not a DOA item. Unfortunately I vaped the prebuilt coils for 3-4 days before trying the VDeck, so if this thing really is defective I could send it back to where I got it (VapeNW) but would have to pay about 7 dollars out my own pocket to ship it. You only get 48 hours to let them know about DOA items evidently for them to cover shipping, so since I got it last Saturday, either I need to figure it out or just buy another one... Because it makes 0 sense for something that is 8.99 or whatever to begin with to pay 7 bucks to send it back for an 8.99 store credit.

On a positive note though the 4 Post Deck it originally came with is working pretty well. Besides the convenience of the 2 Post Velocity Deck saving time and possibly going slightly higher wattages because the post are better insulated, I dont see how there would be much difference between the 4 Post and 2 Post deck. Also get a little more room width rise with Velocity Deck. Hopefully I can get mine working if anyone has any suggestions who may also own the VDeck for the Mutank would appreciate it, think im SOL though and just buy another one for 8 bucks not that big of a deal.
Late to the party..havent been getting notifications. When I got my two with v decks I had similar problem with 1. For me it was as simple as tightening the positive screw on the deck and then pushing on the positive pin before reinstalling.

My notifications dropped too, a couple days back. Dunno why. They're back now. FWIW, I unwatched and rewatched the thread. Maybe that helped.

I just bought another RX200. Bought on the classified. It's brand new, so saved a few dollars on it. It's the white and green one, but I don't care. Now, I can run my MT on one and my Ohmega BFT on the other! I guess I need a few more batteries now. With all these tanks coming out, I'm so confused about what I want, but hell, I love my MT so why bother with something different? I think I'll probably end up with another one of those.
