Deck access without draining, and a threaded chimney. Then you could mount a tall tank on it with an extended chimney for more fluid capacity. It doesn't bother me. I usually vape my MT in the car. In the car I have room to store a case containing a battery and a unicorn bottle. But I have noticed I am getting about two tankfuls per battery charge (Sony VTC4s, .32 ohms, 40 watts, SX Mini M) and it might be nice to have a 6ml extension for times when I might have it in my pocket without carrying around a refill bottle... Aside from that, I just love the little beast. Ok, I take it back: I love the little beast. Refilling the tank doesn't bother me, as I said, and mine hasn't broken yet. I commented above I might buy some tank bands, just in case. That would be a perfect time to order another one, you ask me
Query: Anybody like the Project Sub Ohm version better than the regular one? Worth the extra ten-spot?
m2.5 x 4mm should be the right stuff. I like cup point best, but flat will work.I want to get a mt rta now, too. But before i order it i want to get the right grub screws for it, as i hate bad philips head screws.
As i live in germany, the link which was provided here is not the best thing for me, so i searched for it:
Gewindestifte DIN 914 Edelstahl A2 INBUS Madenschrauben M2 M2,5 M3 M4 M5 M6 M8
This should be the right ones, am i right? (if i choose the m2.5 4mm ones)

Cup point screws would be better! They seem to grip the wire really well! Those are just pointed so they may not grip as well.I want to get a mt rta now, too. But before i order it i want to get the right grub screws for it, as i hate bad philips head screws.

Went thru that guys whole store (26pgs) & didn't find anything the right size with the right point. Here is an example of the point IMHO will work best;I want to get a mt rta now, too. But before i order it i want to get the right grub screws for it, as i hate bad philips head screws.

I don't have the RDA, so I can't make the comparison. But I will say this in now my favorite dual coil subohm tank. I wish it had an optional taller chimney and glass for more capacity on those occasions where I might find it useful, but I like it super good the way it is right now. For the money, you can't beat it, IMHO.Hey guys, been lurking on this thread since day one but this is my first post. I finally have some $ in my vape budget and am almost ready to pull the trigger on the mutation rta. I guess my question is does anyone know or think the mutank will perform on par with the mutation rta. I have read every post on the thread and am %99 sure I want the rta but the ability to throw in a stock coil in the event that I don't have time to wrap one sounds appealing too.
I don't see why the sub ohm version wouldn't perform the same way with the RBA. If you want the convenience of throwing in a premade stock coil get the Mutank. For me, premade heads are a hassle because unless they are made spot on consistent from the factory, you may get defective ones every now and then.Hey guys, been lurking on this thread since day one but this is my first post. Lack of control with builds and wicking with premade stock heads in "sub ohm" tanks are the whole reason I use only dedicated RTA's now. I will say that your own built coils will last in this RTA a long while. The only time I have changed mine is due to trying a new build.
Welcome @gary f g!
That the way to do it, I run Clapton's in mine and its greatI agree with you on the stock coils, iam trying to move away from them because of inconsistencies. I've been so lazy for a while with the ease of use sub tanks provide that I haven't used a dripper in the longest. But now iam fed up with stock coils for the most part and am just gonna grab the mutation rta and a roll of Clapton wire from vapordna.
methinks you will like it. Pro tip (ok, amateur tip): use a lot of wick. A LOT of wick. Make a big diameter coil so it holds bunches, then leave the tails long and cut them off after you install the barrel, stuffing the excess back flush. You almost can't get too much wick in it. Next time I re-wick, I think I will lay a strip of rayon on the deck, then bring the tails out the channels on top of it.I agree with you on the stock coils, iam trying to move away from them because of inconsistencies. I am about the only one i guess, but i jumped on the mutank....just cause. Wanted another mt anyway. Dont know how much i will use stock coils " if at all" just too much money, but the option is nice. Still loving this tank best of all. Got the crius a week ago and really not using it now, PITA to wick compared to this. I have high hopes for the griffin, but as for now the mt is the best rta there is imo. Think i want about 5 of them with the FAD stuff going on.
So vapor dna offers 2 options for Clapton wire. One states 26x32 "spool rolled" and the other just 26x32......what is the difference/what does spool rolled mean?methinks you will like it. Does the mt and the mutank perform essentially the sameI am about the only one i guess, but i jumped on the mutank....just cause. Wanted another mt anyway.
